The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and MTV News was able to get an interview with Hugh Jackman that shared some cryptic statements.

"It may be the last. By the way, it didn't hit me until three weeks before the end [of shooting 'X-Men: Days of Future Past], because we promoted 'The Wolverine' and I came back on set with three weeks to go, and that's when I went, 'Well, who knows? Maybe there's no more Wolverine. Maybe this is it. Who knows? Maybe.So I really made the most of those last few weeks. I enjoyed every time I put the claws on. I nicked everything off the set, so Halloween, come to me and I'll hook you up. I keep saying it's like two movies in one, but with the size of it it's really three in one. It really is going to blow people away because of the story."

So does this means that this will be the last we see of Wolverine? What do you think? Sound off below!

X-Men: Days Of Future Past stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Ellen Page, Halle Berry, Peter Dinklage, Anna Paquin and Shawn Ashmore. The film is set to hit theaters May 23rd, 2014.

You know what I'm saying? It's like dreaming Iron Man 3 and Star Trek: Into Darkness all over again. Both of those films were completely ruined for me because some asshole decided to go on every post and layout the spoilers for each film, now we get this guy who just ups and post the spoiler in the damn title?! (If this rumor happens to be true)

Does Wolverine even die in the comics? I've always wondered would could actually kill this dude off.

He's survived an atom bomb
He's been ripped in two by Hulk
Had his Adimantium ripped out by Magneto

What would kill him, i'm curious? Someone help me out, cheers!

@worldbreaker

Well... You're right about that but it's just competely retarded to say there's a rumor and then post it in the title. If this was true a lot of people's experience would be completely ruined man. But yeah you're totally right here, it's just speculation.

Well actually in the original "Days of Future Past" comic book Wolverine dies from the heat ray blast of a sentinel. It probably wiped out all of his cells leaving him with no cells to help him regenerate by using his healing factor. They never really showed his remains but you saw most of his flesh being wiped away from him.

Wolverine did die in DOFP but it was meaningless as they saved the future.

Hugh ain't leaving yet.

@TheFirstAvenger97

Sadly that was never confirmed as being true. In fact Jackman stated that he's willing to do Wolverine as long as fans want him to. And in another article/video he stated that he doesn't think this is it for him. So hopefully he's referring to more X-Men (team films) than solo Wolverine Flicks. Even though of be completely cool with both.

What's also interesting to me here is that he says "every time I put the claws on" Of course he may be speaking on the bone claws but what if its the adamantium?

@TheBlackMan @Levi

Ah right cheers, seems he's hinting at that then. But i agree FOX-men franchise will bomb if this happens. Hugh to me is Wolverine, plus he's in great shape, age shouldn't be a problem with casting...especially as Hugh has aged pretty well since X1.

Maybe he dies in a future alternate timeline, who knows....

You're totally lucky man I was so pumped to see ST:ID but yeah I'm sure there's a lot more to the film than just the twist. And I totally agree with you bro! It's my most anticipated film to see as well. That's why I'm so picky when it comes to articles like these. Even if it is a rumor or speculation, save it for the article and NOT the title. I live coming here because of the people and cool articles. However when it comes to handling spoilers this site is just loose/lazy with handling them.

@INSTANTJUSTICE

Ok. I see what you're saying there and I totally agree. However wouldn't the actor playing the character know regardless if the filmmaker a haven't seen the completed screenplay? It's all in the script bro. Not saying that this rumor may be true at all but if it just so happened to be I think the actor would know what happens to his character regardless if the film crew have seen a completed film.
