Ha! I wonder "The Goonies" will get remade too...I hope not!
Bamf7 - 11/3/2009, 9:32 AM
@ Bamf7: Shh... Dude, they'll hear you.
BmanHall - 11/3/2009, 9:39 AM
They should not touch the Goonies with a remake or a sequel.
Stubbyswof - 11/3/2009, 9:44 AM
I agree. You cannot make this one any better.
SirPrize - 11/3/2009, 9:45 AM
hehehe you can see her boobs lol :P
teabag - 11/3/2009, 9:47 AM
If they make anything it should be a sequel. Use all the above folks and make it like a National Treasure/Indiana Jones type of film. Make it more grown up. I'll pay for that.
SirPrize - 11/3/2009, 9:49 AM
i want to see short round in indy 5
grif - 11/3/2009, 9:49 AM
It's funny an editor deleted the "Hey you guys!!!" line off. Guess they never watched the Goonies. That was Sloth's funniest lines right before he showed his Superman T-Shirt.
SirPrize - 11/3/2009, 9:52 AM
yeah sirprize- the guy that played sloth is dead so hopefully down the line they wont get ne body to replace him, that is if they make a sequel

teabag - 11/3/2009, 9:58 AM
what is that picture from below the cast, was there a goonies comic ?
thwhtGuardian - 11/3/2009, 10:01 AM
sloth = Supermike unmasked.

I love this movie. They should never touch it, no remakes or sequels. I don't believe that filmmakers today would be able to capture that magic in any way.
DarthMulder - 11/3/2009, 10:07 AM
It's cover art from a Goonie comic.

Darth - Donner is still alive and Spielberg. Let them do it.
SirPrize - 11/3/2009, 10:11 AM

gtrman - 11/3/2009, 10:16 AM
It should also be noted that Sloth was played by John Matuszak of the Oakland Raiders who passed away in '89
gtrman - 11/3/2009, 10:19 AM

georgia49th - 11/3/2009, 10:57 AM
gtrman--Hey cool, man. Did you do those now and then pics? Start puttin' up articles yo.

InstigatorGIRL-- Wolfman's got nards!

You know, they should do a reboot of the Goonies. The next one could be darker and grittier, more like a mixture of TDK and the Departed. lol

Betty - 11/3/2009, 10:58 AM
georgia49th-- "This one can see." woooo!
Betty - 11/3/2009, 10:59 AM

SirPrize - 11/3/2009, 11:03 AM
Never seen the movie. Had a lot of opportunities to but never did.
MsKyle08 - 11/3/2009, 12:15 PM
The Goonies, one of the 80s classics.
Bandrews1 - 11/3/2009, 1:09 PM
@ tea

the rumor about a sequel was made up for april fool's day by none other than wizard magazine. they had EVERYONE fooled for a while before they finally admitted it.
CorndogBurglar - 11/3/2009, 1:30 PM

BillyBlack - 11/3/2009, 4:24 PM
Dude this movie is a CLASSIC.too bad i lost the DVD.

InSpace - 11/3/2009, 4:25 PM
awsome. can't believe chunk grew up to be skinny.
bw - 11/3/2009, 4:56 PM
Man, if they actually do a sequel/remake with all of the original cast as grown ups I will say a few things...

With Chunk-he couldn't do the Truffle Shuffle anymore so that's out of the question here.

I've always liked Steph and Andy but in this-Steph looks hotter and prettier than Andy now a days. Or at least her beauty comes off as more natural. (But then again, in the first movie, she was "The Pretty-Ugly Girl" A beautiful girl in a movie but slap on some glasses and some paint on the overalls and BAM all of a sudden she's ugly. Typical Hollywood...note reference from Not Another Teen Movie.)
EphPhaThaINC - 11/3/2009, 5:01 PM
Billy - I still can't get over Wilford Brimley is in that movie. Quaker oats dude is in the Thing. Cool.
SirPrize - 11/3/2009, 5:19 PM
Would have killed to go down that waterslide.
Ugh - 11/3/2009, 6:11 PM
@Betty: Nope, just happened across them online, thought I would share.

@SkunkApe1: You bet they did. I loved the 70's /80's Raiders. I don't even think they cared to win, just destroy other teams. When Lyle Alzeto revealed he was dying and was 'roiding since the 60's it shook a lot of people up. He was an animal on the field. I miss those days of violent football, though if you caught the Saints/Falcons game Monday night, it was reminiscent of those days, they played hard as hell.
gtrman - 11/3/2009, 11:54 PM
@ inspace, order another one online. I loved that movie when I saw it in the theatre. Awesome.
If someone can just make a new story with some characters and some interesting names, and not make it teenie. It would be great. We can capture the magic.
but it has to be just right. Oh well. I am so sick of comedies having gay jokes every two seconds or having a guy half naked or something. It's just too gross. I want to watch a film with class. Can't some director make a movie that doesn't push the envelope? I mean, there has to be an action hero out there too. It is just going to be a matter of time. A role model to look up to. Well thanks for reading my ramblings.
~X out~
Scorpioxfactor - 11/4/2009, 1:15 AM
Definitely oen of my favorite movies of all time. I still watch it all the time lol.
SlaughterHouse - 11/4/2009, 9:15 AM
InstigatorGirl- My God I cant tell you how many times me and my friends watched Monster Squad! I hope you got it when it came out on dvd.
ironknight27 - 11/4/2009, 9:46 AM
my wife and i grew up watching to movie and we always say quotes form the movie "it's late, our parents are worried and dinner time" or "there's a funny farm with you name's on it, but i'm getting outta here." "dead things mikey, dead things."
spanky - 11/4/2009, 9:57 AM
i would give up on movies all together if some ass clown tried to do anything to the goonies. Too good of a classic to mess with
label613 - 11/4/2009, 9:48 PM
ironknight: Heck yes sir. Had been waiting for years for that DVD. So when my friend told me the release date I went and nabbed it.
