Nite Owl II Welcomes a Son

Nite Owl II 'Watchmen' star welcomes a boy.
Names him Nite Owl III. Just kidding on the latter.

Actor who played Nite Owl II, Patrick Wilson and his wife, actress Dagmara Dominczyk Wilson, welcomed their second son Kassian McCarrell Wilson on Sunday.

Since the majority of us are Watchmen fans, I thought this was great news. Congratulations to Patrick and his family.

I thought that this was the best comic movie of the past ten years. He was a great Nite Owl. Jackie Earle Haley did an awesome job as Kovacs.
IronMan24 - 8/15/2009, 4:07 PM
Cool news.

Patrick Wilson for Ant Man
InTylerWeTrust82 - 8/15/2009, 4:08 PM
I would disagree because i dont like it when actors go over in the different universes. Except for Ryan Reynolds. He will be a GREAT Green Lantern. :)
IronMan24 - 8/15/2009, 4:13 PM
I think it's fine if actors go into different universes. And Nite Owl isn't a big player in the DC universe, so I don't mind it at all.
InTylerWeTrust82 - 8/15/2009, 4:19 PM
Your right but still. I think that Jackie Earle Haley should be the next Red Skull in the Captain America movie, but i don't want to see him go to the other universe.
IronMan24 - 8/15/2009, 4:23 PM
Since there are no subsequent Watchmen movies or comics you may say that this title is over. I would like to see Patrick in a different role. Don't know if Ant Man is fitting, hmmmm.

Spoiler

I love the rage in his eyes when Ror dies, man it just made all my hair stand up on end. Epic movie, great actor.

He was in that movie with Sam Jackson where he was a cop next door, it was pretty good.

That was Lakeveiw Terrace
IronMan24 - 8/15/2009, 4:26 PM
Awwww congrats PATRICK!

Hey id call my kid NIGHT OWL III lol! ; D

ANT-MAN for PATRICK GEEZUZ TYLER lol! But we gotta luv ya i suppose! : D

SirPrize @ Cool article man!

That SLJ movie was kinda shite lol.
LEEE777 - 8/15/2009, 4:27 PM
I think Wilson fits that nerdy scientist just fine. I doubt they will include the whole wife beating thing in the movie.
InTylerWeTrust82 - 8/15/2009, 4:27 PM
TYLER @ You think too much! ; D
LEEE777 - 8/15/2009, 4:28 PM
What if he was in a Fantastic Four reboot as Mr. Fantastic?
IronMan24 - 8/15/2009, 4:30 PM
Bit ironic here but I like Billy Crudup as Mr. Fantastic.

I can't really think of many actors for Mr. Fantastic, but Crudup is one who I think could do a pretty good job.
InTylerWeTrust82 - 8/15/2009, 4:31 PM
Yeah Mr. Fantastic is a hard one to cast.
IronMan24 - 8/15/2009, 4:33 PM
Either Patrick or Billy would be an ideal choice to play Mr. Fantastic. I think Billy would be a great Dr. Strange.
SirPrize - 8/15/2009, 4:34 PM
I personally think Liam Neeson is the perfect Doctor Strange, but Crudup would be pretty good.
InTylerWeTrust82 - 8/15/2009, 4:36 PM
Crudup has the look for a Mr. Fantastic but once again: don't like the different universes.
IronMan24 - 8/15/2009, 4:37 PM
Great idea, but Liam is to old. If he was younger I would agree.
SirPrize - 8/15/2009, 4:38 PM
IM24 - you're such a crossover snob. =P
SirPrize - 8/15/2009, 4:39 PM
I think age is a non issue with Liam. he kicked some major assage in Taken, and that was recent.
InTylerWeTrust82 - 8/15/2009, 4:39 PM
Johnny Dep for Dr. Strange
IronMan24 - 8/15/2009, 4:39 PM
SirPrize,
I know i am but i like the characters to be fresh. some crossovers are good, for example: Ryan Reynold will be a great Green Lantern.
IronMan24 - 8/15/2009, 4:45 PM
imagine whats rors kids would be like :(.......
NightAvenger4 - 8/15/2009, 4:46 PM
IM24...Watchmen isnt part of the DC universe so ther isnt any issue there :P

Hugh Laurie for Mr.Fantastic and Nathan Fillion for Hank Pym... 'nuff said.

what a shitty name to give a kid. his wife is a great piece of meat to be porking though.
grif - 8/16/2009, 4:34 AM
Ah congratulations to him, he deserves plenty of happiness after making us happy by being so good in Watchmen. Hey maybe his kid will grow up to be in a comic book movie someday too lol
dancingmonkey08 - 8/16/2009, 5:34 AM
He was awesome as Nigh Owl II! I definitely would like to see him do another super hero role.
DarthMulder - 8/16/2009, 5:42 AM
I just watched Watchmen at home again and man, that movie is just so fantastic! I've gotta a blueray system and 5.1 channel surround. Man, blueray is amazing!

I thought everybody was good in it! Patrick was excellent at playing a bit of a nebbish but still bada$$ as can be! Congrats to Patrick and his missus and I thank him for helping bring Watchmen to life!

Snyder is such an artist, not simply a technical director! Some people have said it was long and boring but I beg to differ! It actually was too short!
DDD - 8/16/2009, 6:05 AM
Congrats to the Wilson family! I've really like Patrick Wilson in everything I've seen him in. He was great and creepy in Hard Candy.
longbowhunter - 8/16/2009, 6:14 AM
Here's a picture of Johnny Depp as Dr. Strange. I did a pretty crap job on it but at least it has Depp's likeness.

Depp Strange 1
DDD - 8/16/2009, 6:14 AM
oooh meeee
IronClad - 8/16/2009, 6:14 AM
DDD@ :)
teabag - 8/16/2009, 6:28 AM
Hard Candy? Now that was a completely engrossing movie!
Mainly because of Patrick!

DDD - 8/16/2009, 6:58 AM
great, LEE's back with his retarded comments.

Moving on, I used to think that Michael Rapaport was perfect for Hank Pym but after watching 'Watchmen' and having just finished 'Lakeview Terrace' for the first time on blu-ray literally 10mins ago, i think that Wilson would be even better - plus, in Lakeview he has great on screen chemistry with Sam Jackson!!

joshw24 - 8/16/2009, 7:35 AM
Tea & lee77@ can I get in on that action?
superdog - 8/16/2009, 7:46 AM
I liked Lakeview terrace up until the end. Hard Candy and Little Children are great.

Anyway, congrats Mr Owl! Your wife is as hottie too!
Rorschach01 - 8/16/2009, 8:16 AM
i see billy crudup for the atom (ray palmer)...

InTylerWeTrust & josh, that is an awesome idea, I would love to see Patrick as Hank Pym, he would rock! (with Eva Longoria as Wasp of course). He does give a very Hank Pym vibe of him and I could just imagine him slapping Eva Longoria lol Its a horrible image but it would make for a unique superhero movie with wife-beating in it! But I dont know how audiences would respond to it but after attempted rape in Watchmen, anything is now possible.

The one bad thing about Patrick Wilson is if he became Hank, I would never be able to watch Hard Candy again because basically it would be Shadowcat attempting to castrate Hank Pym and that would freak me out like when Iron Man and Spider-Man got gay in that fake trailer before Tropic Thunder lol
dancingmonkey08 - 8/16/2009, 10:47 AM
I highly doubt they would include the wife beating thing in Avengers though.
InTylerWeTrust82 - 8/16/2009, 10:56 AM
InTylerWeTrust

Yea your right, they wouldnt include it. I wouldnt actually like to see it in the Avengers movie myself, I actually meant it would probably be in an individual Ant-Man movie. I think the Avengers movie should only briefly touch on the individual character's different issues such as the wife-beating thing, Stark's alcoholism etc. These shouldnt be the main driving force of the movie, the main idea explored should be how the different heroes work together in a team and how they react to each other and then each individual character's issues should be looked at in their own movies. Because it would be too much for the Avengers movie
dancingmonkey08 - 8/17/2009, 7:35 AM
The wife beating thing wouldn't mix well with the story, because I think it'll be more light and not as dark as wife beating.
