R2-D2 Had a Cameo In JJ Abram's Star Trek I Kid You Not!

R2-D2 is finally confirmed and discovered in Star Trek by the guys at Sciencefictionstuff.com. Here's the droid we were all looking for, undeniable proof that R2-D2 somehow was transported through space and time. It's been confirmed by ILM, absolutely no doubt about it. Check it out here, it's space-tastic...

Here it is and it has been confirmed by one movie's sequence supervisors at Industrial Light & Magic and it is also confirmed it is the same guy that said this was just a space shuttle previously.

That's obviously R2-D2 out there in space floating through the debris field, that little guy gets everywhere. R2D2 is in fact in that shot, the Director figured out that our attention would of course, be on the giant cockroach of the spaceship, the Nerada. So people would completely ignore the little robot floating gently to the left of the screen. Ah bless.

Nice little easter egg and just in time in order to witness the destruction of Vulcan. A lot of people have said the chances are that the little guy was then sucked into the black hole and sent elsewhere, poor R2.

There should be another name for this , a cameo should be when you are in it but supposed to be in it . When they stick you in it and you arent really supposed to be there it should be called something else.

These inside jokes happen all the time. E.T. was in one of the recent Star Wars movies in one of the senate scenes.

They held a competition when the film was out to see who could find R2 first. I cant remember what the prize was though, I do remember trying to keep my eyes open when I saw it for the second time but I never did find him!

Star Wars is lame, at least always has been to me, but to each their own. Its swords and sorcerers meets Star Trek. Yes Star Trek came first, but that is funny to have r2d2 floating through space. Bryan Singer and Kal Penn were extras in it too.

@ magnumsnake

star trek and star wars are just two different things. star trek is the more intellectual of the two, a LOT of the things they deal with are real life theories and discoveries. star wars is more fantasy/action. i like them both :)
