Transformers Transforms Two-Day Ticket Sales into $89.2 Million!

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen has earned another $28.6 million on thursday, so the two-day domestic total went to $89.2 million. Paramount and DreamWorks have got to be happy! Read more here...


The Transformers movie is on its way to scoring one of the top five day openings of all time at the worldwide box office. Overseas, ROTF total through Wednesday was a amazing $59 million putting the worldwide tally thus far at a massive $146.6 million!



The Dark Knight is the current record holder for the best five day domestic gross, which earned $203.8 million in its first five days of last year. Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith followed that with $172.8 million and then Spider-Man 3 with $169.4 million.

169 IMAX locations reported a record breaker opening day gross of $1 million for a per-screen average of $24,000.

yeah, they'll definitely fill the bank with this one! If they bring in Primus and Unicron in the sequel, that would be impressive!

Shia did say that part 3 may go out into space. That would make sense to have a unicron type villian. Everyone knew this movie would break the bank so no big surprise here.

I just dont care about shia and the others any more ... i wish they would get written out of the story ... there was no character developement for the Bots and everything else was a waste of time.... the roommate/computer geek?WTF.... why do i care about him at all, i dont! I would much rather see more of SideSwipe or any bots except the damned Twins! Jetfire was old and crotchety and falling apart just cuz of 17,000 years passing? STUPID! MegaTron did not try to overthrow and destroy his "Master"???? STUPID!!!John Tuturo get removed from the GOVT. and works in his moms bakery??? Complete waste of time. I agree with ROR-01 and others who say the truth of this movie! All Michael Bay did was Make the same movie Twice and far less interesting this time! Thank God i already knew and loved the Transformers or else this movie would have been totally unintelligible . I enjoyed this movie far Better than Wolverine : X Meh Origins but it still sucked. I wont go see it in Imax and i wont pay to see it again... but i willl see it in theaters again with a small bottle of Grey Goose to make it look better.

to be honest im not a comic book reader hell i can barely remember the transformers cartoon it was so long ago but i am a movie buff and i must say that SHIBAZZ you seem so angry i mean what did you expect did you think you were going to see the godfather of comic book movies i mean c'mon its a movie based on a comic book/cartoon about giant [frick]ing robots from outer space how much character developement can you have so just watch it for what it is a movie thats entertaining with lots of explosions leave the character developement comic book movies to christopher nolan if he does another batman movie ok... That being said though, having watched the Transformers cartoon film from the 80s, I won't be going to watch the current flick (watched the last one on dvd). I like my comic book / sci-fi nonsense with a little bit of gravitas, pathos etc. I don't need Asimov, but I do like a little bit of respect for the genre.

wtf this better not beat the dark knight!!! its not a great movie.. its a decent movie with way too much stupid shit in it. and opening before a weekend confuses me... why?doesnt it hurt their opening weekend total?
