Capcom's Long-Awaited Marvel vs. Capcom 2 Now AVailable On Xbox LIVE! Continue the Battle Online as 56 of Marvel and Capcom’s Iconic Characters! Duke It Out in the Legendary Fighting Game!

Capcom Entertainment today launched the long-awaited Marvel VS. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes for Xbox LIVE Arcade.

Marvel VS. Capcom 2 features the biggest roster of challengers to ever square off in a Capcom fighting game, a total of 56 combined brawlers from both the Capcom and Marvel universes. From the world of Capcom comes characters such as Ryu from the Street Fighter series, Jill Valentine from the Resident Evil games and unofficial company mascot Mega Man. Marvel is represented by some of its biggest names, including the Invincible Iron Man, Captain America, the Sentinel of Liberty, and War Machine, Weapon of S.H.I.E.L.D. Players can mix and match from both worlds in order to create their own ideal three man/woman/robot/monster team-up.

Due to the amazing combination of Marvel and Capcom characters and the game’s celebrated fighting system and graphics, Marvel VS. Capcom 2 has been a hotly sought-after title on the game collector’s circuit. Previously owned copies for older game consoles have been demanding more than $100 in auctions and at specialty video game outlets. Now players who have been desperately searching out used copies of the game will be able to go hands-on and play online with the same great online experience from Super Street Fighter® II Turbo HD Remix. Additionally, Capcom has added an optional advanced visual filter that improves the overall appearance of the game and added online modes, including Ranked Matches and the popular Player “Quarter” Match, that allows up to four people to watch and chat while two others are battling it out.

	@ sugarman your thiking of Mugen, its an online fighting game engine that lets you create your own games, and you can put any character from just about any fighting game ever in it. people even create their own characters, it plays just like this though. someone even made a marvel vs dc game, complete with bizarro and thor. good times! 	@ dizzle plus combos are actually really easy no matter who you use. weak punch, weak kick, weak punch, strong punch or kick. the only difference is the speed at which you need to pull that off, and that only depends on the speed of the character your using CorndogBurglar - 7/29/2009, 12:19 PM

	this game is only going online for ps3/360. i played it last night for the first time and I got my a$$ handed to me. I can't do sh!t unless I use Iron Man, War Machine, and Hulk. 	@ shaman i don't know exactly how its working. i KNOW it'll be on playstation network. but i also know that gamestop was taking preorders for it, which is kind of weird. i don't know if its going to be a disc that they give you, or if its some kind of code to download it. but i DO know that if you preordered it, you get some kind of art book with it. lot of confusion, its kind of weird...i got it for 360, because i xbox live is WAY better than playstation network, even though playstation network is free.
