Christian Bale Had Breathing Problems In The Dark Knight Rises

The costume that Christian Bale wears as Batman on the set of The Dark Knight Rises is not as comfortable as one may think. Through most of the course of the movie, he spends his time in the Batsuit which is a very tight rubber costume with a mask and cowl made of the same material.

Bale had the following to say to Empire:

"When it gets cold the cowl is extremely tight, and it gets better the warmer I get it; it becomes more flexible, but after a couple of takes I was trying to breathe properly in my nose. I was starting to see stars and I said, 'I have to take this off'. And thank God, on this one I can - on Batman Begins I couldn't - so I had to get inside because I couldn't let anybody see me without the cowl."

It seems like the nose in the cowl for the batsuit doesn't have anyway to breath through it.

The Dark Knight Rises will release in theatres on July 20th and will finish the Christopher Nolan Batman trilogy.

As much as they say they re designed the suit from BB to this one, to make things more comfortable for Bale, didn't really improve comfortability for him.

He does know that he can try breathing through his mouth, right? Or does Batman only use his nose?

He has his mouth open in the movies over half of the time anyways, why couldn't he breathe out his mouth? Retard, lol.

And no, there is no way to breathe out the nose. The nose piece is hard rubber/plastic and is solid on the bottom, there is no nostril holes for nasal passage.

Maybe he didn't have the same problem in the previous movies because they were less physically demanding?

I'm hoping thats the case and I love that Batman keeps the cowl on when he's on the streets, none of this see my face because I'm the star nonsense.

@LoudNoises, JackyTimish suggested that Skrillex should score Man of Steel so he's probably joking or he's just a really dumb kid.

You can always tell Bale has trouble breathing in his batsuits coz he's always breathing through his mouth.
