A new
Captain America: The Winter Soldier location scoop has been confirmed by ComicBookMovie.com's The Daily SuperHero in Cleveland and it's at the Cleveland Museum of Art.
With a little investigative work, the newly updated Cleveland road closure list was examined and the additions to the list were researched. One location really stood out and that was the closure of East Blvd. between Bellflower Rd. and Wade Oval Dr. This is a section of road sitting right next to the museum.
After making a quick phone call to the Cleveland Museum of Art, a representative confirmed that Captain America 2 will indeed be filming inside of the museum. Two dates have been blocked off from traffic, according to the updated closure list, on June 20 and 25 from 6 a.m. until 4 p.m. on both days. No specific details were provided by the museum's rep but did imply that a small section of the museum will be closed off to the public for filming.
Now let's add a bit of speculation, to this newly revealed location, from another report earlier today that is up on
Comic Book Movie (via Joblo). The report states Steve Rogers will take a visit to the Smithsonian and it seems logical to no say the interior of the Cleveland Museum of Art will stand in for the Smithsonian.
