Echoing the sentiment of the NETizens, it's very interesting to hear that a representative of Rotten Tomatoes is also in dismay after Man Of Steel only receives a rating of 58%.

I mean we all know that critics aren't always right which is why I always tell people to go and see a movie for themselves and form their own opinion of it.

Yeah... It was great movie. I really don't get the negativity thrown in this movie.

MOS is the John Carter of 2013

The only difference with MOS & John Carter is... MOS' third act is spectacular.

While I didn't think it was as bad as critics were saying, I agree with many of the criticisms. It had a mediocre sense of storytelling and development, similar to TDKR. The action was very good, however that was the only enjoyable part of the movie, similar to Transformers. This is the End is certainly my weekend choice.

Honest to god do not listen to the critics,I came all the way from sheffield from seeing it in imax 3D and I [frick]ing loved it!! I had only 1 problem with it which was his quick transition for him being clark to superman and thats all I have a problem with, but it is a great film

Man Of Steel OWNS Super Man 1978 SPOILER REVIEW !

People Did The same shit with Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man. You have to go into these films with an open mind and disregard what they did in the past because if your going to walk into these films to compare it with the original then you have already made up your mind prior to watching the film. Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man And Zack Snyder's Man Of Steel Are The Films That We NEEDED. The Old School Sam Raimi And Richard Donnors Fans Are Clinging To The Past, When The Future Is Now.

Also, his biological mother may as well have been played by a mop. Her emotions were not convincing, at all.

I have to say that the movie was pretty awesome. The only downsides IMO are: SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The last fight scenes had to many explosions and they hindered the visual enjoyment a bit, and the fact that a black hole formed on Earth and the planet did not suffer at all because of it.

I wonder if WB made her do this. I agree that MOS is definitely doesn't deserve a rotten score, but it also isn't epic or movie of the year either. It's definitely a really good movie though. I had fun with it, 'cept for the final battle scene which reminded me of Matrix Revolution and Transformers 3.

They rated Superman Returns higher because even though it sucked they felt comfortable with a version close in essence to the Donner films. These people live in the past and have no clue of what's going on in the comics. Screw them. This movie has its shortcomings but is in no way the bad movie they're saying it is.

Some of them thought it was too serious. People likes their super hero movies funny. For example: Thor. Let's be honest Thor was a mediocre movie, the action (except for the visit to Jotunheim) was terrible, it was rushed and Thor and Jane's chemistry was non existent, among other things, yet most people said it was a great movie because it was lighter in tone than MOS. I think it was because you had the funny element. Even Batman had some great funny moments, so a little bit of humour would have helped MOS, but as an action packed film, it was a a lot of fun.

One bad review then the critics piggyback eachother and all call it bad. It's such an elitist, conformist thing.

Never in my life have I been so confused..why has this entire "critics rating" has become so controversial.

Critics are a joke & anyone who disagrees is borderline insane.
This is really a non-issue with people who have FREE WILL.

Ignore ALL critics,ALL the time..how do they benefit you in any way?
Are you so unsure of your own mind as to how to react to what you want to watch?

@SotoJuiceman, amen to that brother. Some people can't keep perspective and realize that it's a different era and things need a fresh take. As long as the core of what makes Superman the hero we all love remains intact and in my opinion MOS did that. Great movie, seen it twice already and I'll see it again.

@ HouseOfExtremeSexiness

the left hand side lists the films like this & man of steel is the biggest release this week & its not on the homepage list.

62% epic
20% the hangover part 3
71% fast & furious 6

I heard Snyder contacted Bay for some advice on big explosions.

Its just funny how the same people who use RT in their arguments are now dismissing it because it turned on them. People are funny

Have to wait till the 27th here is Aus. Ah well.

a lot of ppl dont know but superman returns was suppose to be a sequel to superman II i believe!!...so thats why superman returns had that feeling to it!!! so ppl need to relax with that lol...

"SEE. It's clear that critics really need to let go of the old Superman movie. They see it as an AFI movie that if any movie follows and doesn't live up to that style that it's not garbage. I only found 2 complaints with this movie, but it doesn't boggle down the experience. Especially for a reboot that takes place over 30 years since the first Superman movie. Superman needs to be brooding, he needs to have that dark territory, especially with life how it is today."

i couldnt agree more with whoever said that in the comments!

let me get this right....

ppl are saying/complaining about zod dying etc...yet superman killed him in superman II...mad cuz he got his nexk snapped? who cares grow up ppl lol

ppl are complaining about the pace?...i thought the pace was just right!...not to much not to little!..not to fast not to slow feel me?

easter eggs?...from what i saw we got 4 easter eggs
wayne satellite
2 lexcorps logos/signs
they said trident but dont know if it meant anything
and also booster gold...well i at least saw them lol

lois looking old...yes i will give yall that..i didnt like the casting as much...

i do agree with the fighting and the camera moving all over the place n it was hard to keep up with the fighting but i got use to it and it was pretty good n decent if u kept ur eyes on the action...

i didnt notice the soundtrack cuz i was into the movie so much...but i know they kept playing the piano from trailer 3 through out A LOT!...

def. the best CBM this year....
action wise...better than the avengers but thor and hulk was a amazing scene...bane breaking back was a legendary scene!
superman getting tossed by his cape through like 6 buildings...also incredible lol my jaw dropped when i saw that...

i give credit to the kids who played clark when he was little they did a good job!
i think cavil was a good superman he is the perfect superman..[frick] reeves lol seriously...
i think he could of done more though...but lets not get this twisted people...this is a origin story he is still developing his powers and testing his limits like his dad said!..i think in the sequel we will and i hope we will have a more balanced and in control knows how to handle things clark/superman since he knows his powers etc...whoever says this is like transformers is just dumb..lol action wise that is with building being destoryed...nothing like it...cuz its BETTER than transformers

faora was bad ass i think she stole the movie in a good way she had me sold
that fight scene in smallville was classic and my favorite along with the ending..

all the other actors were good..the military guy who gave up his life...to pa kent being honest with his son about who he is and what he has to do to understand where he comes from

i feel like mom kent was just there n didnt get much attention and dont get me wrong i thnk thats GOOD cuz this movie is about SUPERMAN!! clark...he is figuring out his life!! im glad it was focused on him

i am glad i didnt see lois and clark fall in love..save that dumb shit for the sequel!!...

dont really know what else to say...

then again, transformers have bad ratings but made money.

So WB is churning out transformer style movies that are "gritty".

RT has to change something. If a critic gives a movie a B or B-, or 3,5/5 and it still makes it rotten then something is VERY WRONG !
