Re-shoots happen with practically every major blockbuster ever. Don't read into them so much.

Movies does reshoots sometimes. Avengers Age of Ultron is about to do it in Januari as well. So i guess with your logic that AoU is shoot in a hurry (especially since they shoot that in lesser time then Batman V Superman.)

@sipprelle so is it true that they are shooting back to back or what??

I'm glad that they are at least touching on his origins, here. The Waynes' murder, Bruce's training.
Unless, it's not actually for Bruce and that they're faking us out with the "young BEN AFFLECK" description. A young Ben Affleck does not necessarily mean a young Bruce Wayne.
You don't suppose...

They did just bring him back. His body didn't even have time to go cold and they brought him back. After making such a fuss over his death, too. Kinda strange, that was.
And I do remember hearing something about how Snyder's Batman will be picking up where the Dark Knight trilogy left off, but with a slightly different continuity. This was back in 2013, when the movie was first announced. The word was that one of the differences between The Dark Knight Rises and the recent history of Snyder's Batman was that Talia was still alive.
Of course Terio has been changing a lot from Goyer's original scriptment.

I am probably entirely wrong about this.

@DukeAcureds

Charles Roven (one of the mainproducers) said in that interview when he mentioned that Wonder Woman is Zeus daughter as well as a demigod, that Nolans Batman is an elsewhere story... This is a hole other Batman, so that info you got is wrong

DukeAcureds
DukeAcureds - 12/13/2014, 11:14 AM
Emblemmaniac@ Yeah, Nolan's Batman is it's own thing. But what I heard was that Snyder's Batman was gonna be picking up from around about the same place, just with a different history and continuity. That something like The Dark Knight Rises would have happened, but not exactly like that. That the League of Shadows/Assasins would have attacked Gotham and Bruce would have retired after beating them.
I'm pretty sure that this was before we knew that Snyder was going to go for an older, retired Batman. Before Affleck was cast. So it could have been on the money.

DukeAcureds - 12/13/2014, 11:41 AM
Emblemmaniac@ It was definitely for BvS (or MOS2, as it was still being referred to, back then). It struck me as odd at the time that it would matter whether or not Talia was dead, unless she were to have something to do with the film.
MisterBatfleck@ I'm still hoping that Gordon is not dead, but simply retired. Either way, they could still have Cranston play him in a flashback.

Emblemmaniac

@DukeAcureds

since Charles Roven said as he said, i do think that if the things you heard is true, is that having this as a "Superman Returns" to the Dark Knight triology (Superman Returns pretends that Superman 3 and 4 never happened) but decided to not do that latter.

Reshoots happen pretty commonly with big movies like this, it's not like they don't have time! Maybe they're just adding a scene with Bruce training with Alfred or something?

I just sent my audition tape in. It's a wrap from here on out. I'm a dead ringer for a young Batfleck!
DukeAcureds
DukeAcureds - 12/13/2014, 11:58 AM
Emblemmaniac@ No, I just think they meant it would be more of a softboot. Like The Incredible Hulk was to Ang Lee's Hulk. They pick up where the last film left off but at the same time they disregard continuity with the film.
I think they meant that the film would have no connection to The Dark Knight Trilogy, but that the same kind of story elements would have already happened, but in entirely different ways.
We do already know that BvS will not share continuity with Batman Begins, as we have seen the Wayne murders taking place as the Waynes travel home from the cinema and not the Opera-house.
