Hayley Atwell Talks AGENT CARTER & Her Appearance In ANT-MAN
Yesterday at the Emerald City Comic-Con, Hayley Atwell attended a panel session and discussed a possible Agent Carter season two, the Winter Soldier, and her appearance in Marvel's Ant-Man. Hit the jump to check it out!
Hayley Atwell attended a panel at the Emerald City Comic-Con, and told the fans two things she would like to see if Agent Carter was renewed for a season 2. ""I would like one of two things -- I'd really like to explore her background of where she's come from, what her family was like, what created this exceptionally strong and unique woman," She then continues, "And who it was in her life that told her she could be just as good -- or better -- as the guys," The second thing she wants to see involved looking into the future. "Secondly, I'd like to go a few years in the future, to see how she tackles being a mother and a wife, as well as being kick-ass in the office."
While ABC is still debating on whether or not they want to renew Agent Carter for a season two, Hayley Atwell reveals that she would love to do an Agent Carter movie! "Yes, 100 percent," She then elaborated and told why she would like to see the film made, "I'd like to see her vulnerability. I think sometimes we can depict woman as strong like it's a new thing -- we've always been strong, that's ridiculous. But I'd like to see her vulnerability. No matter how hard life gets, we can only be strong for so long, before we grab the ice cream and cry into the television. I'd like to see that."
We all know that an Agent Carter film is not likely, so instead of focusing on that, we're focusing on a possible Agent Carter season two. If that were to happen, Hayley Atwell said she'd love to see the Winter Soldier appear in the series, ""That would be great. The exciting thing is, we can have so many crossovers with different worlds in the Marvel Universe." Speaking of crossovers, and the Marvel Universe, Peggy Carter is set to make yet another appearance on the big screen, not only in Avengers: Age of Ultron, but In Ant-Man as well. "She crosses over, but it's more of a cameo," Atwell said regarding her cameo in Ant-Man. "It's not a flashback -- well, it is, but not to the point where it's 1946." So it's not a flashback, but it is. What will this cameo hold for Marvel's Ant-Man? Time to speculate! Post your ideas and theories in the comment section below!
