According to 20th Century Fox’s official Spanish website for Deadpool, the film will have a runtime of 106 minutes or 1 hour and 46 minutes. If this report turns out to be true, this film will be shorter than most superhero movies released by the studio (The Wolverine and X-Men: Days of Future Past). Even so, the runtime will still be a tad bit longer than Fox’s 2015 Fantastic Four film, which only ran for 1 hour and 40 minutes. What do you think about the alleged runtime of the film? Do you wish it was longer? Share your thoughts in the comment section below!

Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, Deadpool tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life. Directed by Tim Miller, while starring Ryan Reynolds (Wade Wilson), Morena Baccarin (Vanessa Carlysle), T.J. Miller (Weasel), with Ed Skrein, and Brianna Hildebrand (Ellie Phimister), the much-hyped Deadpool is scheduled to open in theaters on February 12, 2016.

Did anyone else notice it has a similar plot to X-Men Origins Wolverine? Hero gets an offer to be experimented on to be made stronger. Hero does it. Hero's love interest get threatened by same people. Hero goes after those people. Hero meets other mutants along the way to help him. Hero confronts movie villain in final showdown. Love interest (most likely a mutant) either dies or leaves him.

@MrPagBrewster
If the movies main focus is jokes then I will not go watch the movie. The jokes in my opinion are horrible

I was hoping they'd split it up in two parts, each three hours long. Well, I guess this will suck now.

The ADD nature of Deadpool wouldn't make sense for the movie to be very long. It could probably stand to be a bit shorter.

Makes sense. Doesn't look like there's a huge story to tell. X-Men Origins was the same length.

Yea i never liked deadpool I think that if deadpool had been created in the early 80s or before I feel that he would not be as famous as he is now because of how a lot of people's reaction to him on the Internet. I just think that the writing can be lazy especially the humour

It's actually longer than I was expecting.

I figured a 90-minute movie would cut down on the budget without losing any effects quality. That it also only had a 3 months shoot instead of the normal 5 months for most superhero flicks made it seem all the more likely.

That's a decent runtime for a DEADPOOL film. DEADPOOL is the sort of thing you wouldn't want to stretch out for too long.
