George Miller Reveals That He's Not Done With MAD MAX Movies After All

Well, for those of you who were disappointed about yesterday's announcement, it seems as though there has been some miscommunication between the interviewer and the interviewee!

Remember the interview from a few days ago that revealed that George Miller "won’t make more ‘Mad Max’ movies", due to the fact that they take forever to direct? Well, it seemed as though that interview was nixed, because George Miller in his latest interview with The Wrap revealed that he at least has two more Mad Max films left in him. "That was a completely garbled interview. I was in New York and it was so noisy and the journalist was asking me questions on a red carpet at the National Board of Review." He then continued. "She completely got the wrong fragments of information that were just not true. I said no, [another Mad Max movie] will not be next, and she took that to mean I never wanted to make another Mad Max. It won’t necessarily be next, but I have two more stories." With Mad Max: Fury Road nominated for "Best Picture" at the Oscars, I can't say I'm surprised that Miller is returning for more! Awesome news, Fury Road was a cinematic experience like no other. I'm sure why his next movie won't be the follow up to Mad Max? He's been in negotiations with DC/WB lately on which project he'll next direct!
