The Amazing Spider-Man got a shiny new trailer, and it looks like the video game will have a shiny new feature as well. The official Facebook page for the game fielded some fan questions.

Jacob Berg asked to our Lead Game Designer if there will be any gameplay mechanics being introduced in the game. Here’s your answer Jacob!

Hi Jacob! Yes, we introduce an all-new gameplay mechanic called the Web Rush, which gives players real-time navigational and combat choices. Web Rush can be triggered on the fly, at any moment and immediately presents you with a variety of situational choices, letting you pull off Spidey’s signature moves like never before.

The new web systems makes it sound like the player will have better control of webbing and have greater directional control. The free roam lets you travel around the city like Spider-Man, but with more web control, you'll be able to feel like Spider-Man.

Beenox is developing the game. They are the team that released the 2010 Spidey game Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions and last year's Spider-Man: Edge of Time. The upcoming game will be an epilogue story, taking place shortly after the events of the movie.

The game is expected to launch along with the movie which starts June 3.

Not getting my hopes up on this, but it's cool that it's free roam. Hopefully they'll continue doing that.

since this one has web shooters i bet you cant just go webbing around the city freely as long as you like. you'll probably have to keep some kind of webbing meter up

It better stand to Web Of Shadows and not be as shallow as their past two games. I dunno why Marvel gave Beenox the rights to Spidey.
