It's amazing, how much Superman has effected our world. From his amazing motion pictures, to his brilliant comic books, the character has inspired countless and given hope to the doomed. April 18th marks the day that all that becomes worth it, on April 18th, Cleveland Mayor Jackson declared the day is 'Superman Day' the day marks the 75th anniversary of Superman's first appearence in a comic book in #1 of Action Comics. The two creators of Superman, Jerry Siegal and Joe Shuster created the characters while in Cleveland during the great depression.
To commemorate the day a Superman flag will be raised on the steps of the city hall with Superman in attendance. Lights at the city hall and terminal tower will be changed to red, blue and yellow. Plus the Superman Exhibit at the airport will have cupcakes and exclusive travel cards. You can email the amazing people behind this great day at @communications@city.cleveland.oh.us.
