If you thought the 3 minute trailer was action packed then you're in for a treat. While at the DC Comics panel at C2E2 on Saturday DC/Warner Bros. VP of Marketing John Cunningham was praised by a fan for the newest Man of Steel trailer, in response Mr Cunningham has come out and said

"If you liked that trailer, I’ll tell you the comment one of our executives told me who saw the movie. He said that trailer doesn’t even give you one one hundreth of the action in that movie. So imagine that the next time you see it, which will be soon when you go home I’m sure.”

Now I'm talking for myself when I say this but that sounds damn awesome, I for one am looking forward to this summer's Superman film, so comment below and let me know what you think! Until next time!

Man of Steel follows the Last Son of Krypton on his epic journey to become mankind's shinning beacon of hope for a brighter future. With the beliefs and values instilled by his adoptive parents Jonathan (Kevin Costner) and Martha (Diane Lane) Kent, a young Clark (Henry Cavill) sets out to find his place in the world. But when the nefarious General Zodd (Michael Shannon) arrives on Earth, Clark will have to choose between being a normal human or Kal-el,son of Jor-El (Russell Crowe) and humanity's greatest protector and champion. Filmed in IMAX and shot in Vancouver, Chicago and Plano, Illinois, Man of Steel will be released on June 14, 2013 by Warner Bros. Directed by Zack Snyder (300, Watchmen) with a screenplay by David S. Goyer (The Dark Knight) the Christopher Nolan (Batman Begins, Inception) produced feature film will surely be the summer blockbuster of 2013.

SCORE!!! So DC is gonna create their own universe and Marvel's got theirs....I think Sony gonna go the exact opposite of both. Whereas they created a superhero team, its possible that TASM will create a super villain one. We've got two of the Sinster Six already.

I havent been this excited for a film since TASM, and this may probably the best CBM of all time- deserves that.

So keen, welcome back Supes!

Well, seeing as the trailer barely had any action in it, I'd sure hope the final product would have more...

Oh wait, I should be creaming my jeans, right?

^ no you should be getting off this article

TheDIsSilent - 4/28/2013, 1:33 AM
@JDUKE25 And why is that. Wait, let me guess: You assume that just because I'm not completely and utterly hyped for MoS that I'm a "Marvelite" or something.

I'm right, aren't I?

I'll clue you in on my feelings towards this: I grew up with Superman. However, he's not my favorite hero. This movie has yet to really impress me with it's trailers, pics, etc. I hope, I REALLY hope it does well, however, because if it doesn't, it will go straight back into the "Upcoming Reboot" pile at WB.

So, there you go. That's all for now.

Yep, being very mature.

Anyone who has followed the production of this film already knows that. There are at least 4 known big action sequences.

1. War on Krypton
2. Battle of Smallville
3. The Black Zero Escape (in outer space)
4. Metropolis Showdon

Aside from minor known ones such as the oil rig incident, the Smallville tornado, the bus crash, the Alaskan impaled truck etc...

Superman will also have to deal with:

1. Zod, Faora and at least 2 other Kryptonian agents.
2. Zod's small robot army.
3. The Black Zero and it's weapon systems + smaller Kryptonian fighter ships
4. The US military

And the senior EW writer who wrote the MOS article saw the entire Battle of Smallville sequence and commented on ´´Heat vision, train slinging, car throwing battles and Superman viciously punching a villain repeatedly on the street``.

WB may be waiting for the final marketing push to show a bit more of that (with TV spots and even a possible 4th trailer) or they plan on creating such strong WOM by keeping most things as a surprise that MOS will have very long legs at the BO. Either way they've been playing a very smart and effective marketing so far while revealing as little as possible. Some other studios should learn a thing or two about that...or actually make films with as huge scale as MOS. ;)

It's called joking around about how ridiculous some of you fanboys can be.

Nice to know some can't take a joke. But I wouldn't expect less from someone like you, JDUKE. ;)

@MrShumway I hope there isn't a 4th trailer. I'd be perfectly fine for them to start on TV spots now and showing more of the action that way. But yeah, hopefully most of the big scenes will be kept secret from television.

TheDIsSilent sorry i dont get how you can be unimpressed with what we have seen

the performances looks great and fleshed out
supes origin seems to be delving in deeper than we have ever seen especially a more indepth look at krypton

cinematography is beautiful

action looks great and on a huge scale

zod looks to be a great villain

and the story seems to have some emotional weight

@P862010 Sorry, man. None of it's really doing it for me. Many movies have "looked good" and then turned out to be absolute shit. I won't list them, but I think we already know them. So, overall, I'm just treading carefully. I'll definitely see it opening night, but I won't get my hopes up.

@JDUKE25 You're welcome. :)

Am I the only one who can't take Shannon as Zod seriously, like he is overacting or something? It's just, he doesn't look really angry. Or serious.

Uh..this a lame article.
It's crazy obvious we've only been given a bare minimum of the action from the trailers.

Hope the action is there but better yet,I hope the action is mind blowing cool.

All the action in the world still won't prevent Supes from being a boring character. I did like him in Injustice though.

TheHeat obviously never read a (good) Superman comic. :P
CavEl
CavEl - 4/28/2013, 5:18 AM
They showed us 2 fights in the trailer...I've known about 5 fights.

Jor-El vs. Zod
Superman vs. Zod's robot army
Superman vs. Faora
Superman vs. Kryptonians (Metropolis)
Superman vs. Kryptonians (Smallville)

Saw Iron Man 3 last night, it's alright. 7.5/10 is what I'll give it. Better than Iron Man 2, but pales in comparrasion to Iron Man 1. Ben Kinsley and Cheadle were the highlights of the movie. And Killain's motivation was non-existent.

I don't know if the spoliers are what made it obvious who Killain truly was, but it was obvious who he was a 1/4rd of the way through the movie.

Iron Man 3 has a 93% o RT, doesn't deserve that.
CavEl
CavEl - 4/28/2013, 5:36 AM
@ Worldbreaker - Who actually said who he was? They didn't tell us who he was until we met Trevor, but the movie doesn't hide it well. It's obvious who the antagonist is in this movie....

Pearce is playing the exact same character Sam Rockwell played in Iron Man 2.

@ MrSpock - Didn't watch the post-credit scene, was it hinted? And Rockwell played a man Tony Stark screwed over and humiliated, now he wants to exact revenge on him. To do so, Rockwell funded a program that would bring down Tony Stark, but the program can be fatal. To get to Tony, Rockwell's character uses a Patsy while he works from the shadows.

How was that different from Pearce?

Well actually it is true even though a VP of marketing said it. Can't wait to see the envy of trolls and haters once the early reviews start coming in. I expect many meltdowns. ;)
