Marton Csokas Joins THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 Cast

The New Zealand actor who previously appeared in The Lord Of The Rings films, has joined the cast of Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man 2. But who is the actor portraying? There's a possible clue after the jump.

The Hollywood Reporter confirms that New Zealand actor, Marton Csokas has joined the cast of Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man 2. But who will he play? IMDb currently has Mr. Csokas listed as Dr Kafka, a character from Marvel Comics that's the head of the Ravencroft Institute. However, in Marvel Comics lore, Dr. Kafka is a woman so it's possible that someone on IMDb (anyone can edit movie information) is merely guessing at his role.

Dr Kafka Character Bio:
Ravencroft Sanitarium for the Criminally Insane psychiatrist. She has been the Doctor to Carnage, Shriek, Carrion, Vermin, Chameleon, Massacre and Venom to name a few.

No confirmation he's playing Kafka, THR doesn't say who he's playing and IMDb is definitely not trustworthy.

He said at the Dalas comic con he had been working 9/10 months on the newe arkham game

Chameleon is a character that could easily be added to this universe. He could been used in so many ways for a number of reasons. A Character like Chameleon is the type who can be pretty much thrown into anything and explained away easily. "HES A SPY!" ect ect . While with other Villains you are expected to dig deep into their backround and explain their origins.....It would be nice to see shocker and scorpion as well.. explaining their existence could be handled in a few different ways. Shocker could use some prototype suit modeled after Electro's powers. while scorpion could be a combination of Normans super serum and experimental exoskeleton suit (like so many of use hope for rhino)

This guy can really ham up his performances, he's a terrible actor. Anyone watching the new TV series 'Rogue' with Thandie Newton will know, he's the main mob boss and his delivery is laughable.

He would be a good kraven. He is prolly going to be the Kafka guy. But I wouldn't be suprised if he was chameleon also. They could Defiently use chameleon in this series becasue he just fits in so well. He could be like the guy Norman hired to kill peters parents. Anyone else think maybe Harry's mom was dying of cancer and peters parents were working on a sereum to save her but found out it was extremely dangerous thus he had them killed?

I highly doubt Electros race ever played a large part in the comics, so the race change isn't a big deal. But Honestly i like that they are changing up the Rhino and Electros back stories. They never had interesting ones anyway. These characters are incredibly 2 demensional in the comics. I would rather they change something from the comics and make it better rather than stick to the comics and have it suck. Look at the villains in Spider-Man 3. They pretty much stuck to the same origins for them (minus Sandman killing Uncle Ben) and that movie sucked. Look at DOctor Octopus, they changed up him from being just pure evil to being a corrupted man who just wants to finish an experiment. And it worked. So, like i said, make them better.
