I can't be the only one pumped for this film. Not the bloody, gore Wolvie film we want, but a bad ass dark Wolverine we deserve

@BrotherStarkofMABMindz - Great way of wording, my friend.

This isn't the bloody/gory R-rated Wolverine film that we fans have been asking for for the longest time (fingers STILL crossed, though, for that Wolverine film if it ever happens), but it definitely looks like it's taking the character on a more gritty, dark path than what we've seen with Wolverine in previous X-Men films. While I still have my doubts with this film having it deviate quite a bit from the Chris Claremont 'Wolverine' run, my old man and I will enjoy it (not sure if I'm gonna LOVE it, but likely enjoy it).

;)

Also, 13 [frick]ing years Mr. Jackman has played this character.... Wow. That's quality dedication to such a character like Wolverine; and for that, I have the highest respect for Hugh Jackman. He's shown to really love and care for the character, and his performance does show. If given the right direction and an amazing script, we'd definitely get the Wolverine that we've been waiting for....

Mr. Jackman DOES have that potential for the berserker Wolverine that we all love and know, just give him that right director, script, and BOOM... Wolverine, baby. ;)

After thinking about it, yea this film will be better than Iron Man 3 and The Dark Knight Rises.

All three films have a common theme of a hero rise up and fight. The difference with The Wolverine and Iron Man 3/The Dark Knight is with that in Iron Man 3 Tony was just a pussy who got scared and lost his balls because he fought aliens and in The Dark Knight Rises Bruce seemed to only moan over Rachael. I don't think Bruce Wayne should have disappearedin The Dark Knight Rises but Batman should have.

The Wolverine has Wolverine in a state of mind like Iron Man in Iron Man 3 and Batman in The Dark Knight Rises, but at where Wolverine's at is different and better. Iron Man and Batman can hide behind their money, Wolverine has nobody. Wolverine has walked this Earth longer and has seen more blood shred involving and not involving his hands. Wolverine has lived to see everybody he loves die.

It's like what Mrs Donner said in the video. This is a man who's sick of living. I may get shit on but I'm already seen as an asshole to some people and I don't give a [frick] what y'all think but I believe that this could be the best solo movie involving a Marvel character since Spider-Man 2. This includes the MCU and that ain't a diss like how some members are against the MCU but my God this film is looking to be great.

First Class a hidden gem? It was okay, but it had its flaws

they should really, really get a better photoshoper. That katana is super-imposed, fake, and over-sized.

I got a feeling this is going to be something special. The classic Wolverine film we never saw coming. I hope I'm right.

This will be far better than origins, but the PG-13 rating is going to keep it from being an A+ flick. They should film alternate, ultra violent bloody scenes for the DVD (but we all know that won't happen).

thewonderer - 7/12/2013, 9:18 PM
Oh, for the love of god.

First Class wasn't just okay.

Captain America is just okay
Thor is just okay
Iron Man 2 is just okay
Iron Man 3 is just okay
Incredible Hulk is just okay.

Each of the above have predictable story arcs with predictable characters.

First Class was great and special if only for that incredible chemistry between Fassbender and McAvoy. No CBM has nailed a friendship dynamic like that. It really is a remarkable feat. Not only that, but Kevin Bacon portrayed one of the best villains too. The guy murders Eriks mom in front of him during the holocaust.

That shit is deep.

Hugh has said he gets approached by 13,14,15 year olds telling him how much they love Wolverine.

Yeah, in an ideal world, Wolvie would be more dark. But I say its worth toning down A BIT if it means exposing CBMs to a wider audience.

First Class sucked big nuts. Boring ass movie and all that kept me awake was Fassbender's Magneto.

Didnt know if I was watching an X-Men film or a Bond film.

Did they specify the number of years it's been since the events of X3? And will X:DOFP be set after this one? I know its a sequel to Last Stand, but no clue where it sits with this one.

Guys, I have looked for an answer everywhere, but I didn't find it.

Does Hugh Jackman wear the Wolverine suit at all in this movie?
SonOfStarKiller
SonOfStarKiller - 7/12/2013, 11:24 PM
Izindian-

No he doesn't, nor should we expect him too. I might be in the minority but I don't think his costume is necessary. Unlike other heroes, Logan is not defined by his costume. His identity is not a secret. We've seen him in action out of his suit as much as in it. Besides, having him suddenly wear a blue and yellow jumpsuit would seem silly and a little forced.

ClobberPot
ClobberPot - 7/12/2013, 11:41 PM
The best bet we have for a Wolverine costume is days of future past. This movie is gonna be full of sleek black suits. Five movies without a uniform is ridiculous. Of course we should expect a character-appropriate costume, star killer, if he only wears a suit 1/2 the time in comics, he should have a suit in at least 2 movies. Matrix leather doesn't count. It's like if Cap only wore a ww2 army uniform, or batman in a ninja suit for a whole movie.

MightyZeus - 7/13/2013, 12:00 AM
Who gives a crap if 'Wolverine' doesnt wear the suit in the films. Seriously? Do you people want Jackman to wear the yellow spandex lol. Bloody whiner's and complainers.

I would love to see Hugh in the X-Force costume

it is black just like singer likes it
it also looks baddass and real in a live action adaption of it. It translates well to screen

TheOneAboveAll
TheOneAboveAll - 7/13/2013, 12:30 AM
Just make it out of vinyl and leather or give it a thick look and not spandexy, something closer to the way the Batman Begins costume looked having all the x-force characters wearing something similar to the way that looked would be beautiful to see on screen

In a world with no other costumed superheroes, the idea of brightly costumed X-Men simply makes no sense. In the FOX films its super powered mutants (X-Men and Brotherhood) and human soldiers(Goverment and Mercs) that have made up the opposing forces.

In the light of that world, the Singer black leather duds make perfect sense because the X-Men are more of a Special Ops team with powers then a collection of superheroes.

Its not uncommon for Special Ops forces to wear black on a mission so the X-Men should be looked at in those terms.

Only in a world with publicly recognized superheroes like The Avengers does the need for colorful costumes with masks (to hide what the public would believe are secret identities) exist.

They should call this movie "Logan" because its about Logan the man! In fact I have yet to see Wolverine in any of the movies to date, only Logan, and that's not such a bad thing.....
