In a recent interview with Newsarama, Captain America: The Winter Soldier star Sebastian Stan talks about his role as Bucky/Winter Soldier and his Marvel contract. When asked if his Marvel deal, which he considers great job security, will allow him to appear in more films, he responded, "Yes[...] I think I actually have nine." Newsarama then asked Stan if he knew he was going to be The Winter Soldier when he played Bucky in The First Avenger. Here is an excerpt from the interview:
I did, and I didn’t. It was a “maybe.” It led me to prepare myself for this just in case, but I’m not the guy who gets to shoot the movies. When we wrapped, I had no idea if we’d be back. A lot of that has to do with fan response, the public response. But I did really hope that I’d be back to play this character again.
Newsarama went on to ask Sebastian Stan if he had read past comics in preparation for his role and how "Marvel has been on a hot streak." To read the full interview, head over to Newsarama to check out more!
