@LEEE777 @JAZZMAN @DEADPOOL72 You've got to have Nick Fury leading his unit 'The Howling Commandos', Dum Dum Dugan and the boys plus there were many black soldiers in WWII Tuskegee Airmen included.
@StarSapphire Great video Jimi said he's exicited!

StarSapphire@ Nice job!

The SLJ haters need to get a clue. Fury was an important part of WWII. He was the leader of the Howling Commandos and the Infinity Serum slowed down his aging process and that is why it makes perfect sense that he can be in this film and the present day films. Fury was a veteran of WWII, the Korean War and the Vietnam war. He also was a role model of leadership to Captain America in WWII. just because you don't like SLJ doesn't mean he doesn't belong in the movie. I still don't get all the hatred for SLJ. He is a very accomplished actor and now that we should be seeing more of him in action in upcoming films, he should rock the part more than what he has been limited to up to this point in time.

We all love SLJ, most of us are a little gay for him.

Still, portraying a black man bossing white working class soldiers around in the 40s? Will stretch belief like a mother[frick]er.

Frank@ Let me get this right. In a film that implies that a 'super serum' can allow a man to suddenly become human perfection AND reduce his ability to age AND can be held in suspended animation purely by falling into the North Atlantic the biggest stretch your imagination will take - it's biggest leap of faith - is a black guy bossing white guys about????

Nice work!

And I haven't even gone onto the possible appearance of The Invaders including an android that can burst into flame and a guy from the royal family IN ATLANTIS!!!

God - and your whole brain will melt as soon as the cosmic cube shows up!
Rodimus9
Rodimus9 - 8/18/2010, 2:22 AM
There's no such thing as a cosmic cube! Silly.

So this movie could be considered a "period piece"?

Ranger14
Ranger14 - 8/18/2010, 8:28 AM
Frank@ ...and Cap, the Invaders and Howling Commandos are stretching believability? This is a comic book movie. People already know Fury as SLJ. I don't think they are going to be concerned about him being a black Sgt. in WWII. There were black Sgts. in WWII.
Starlight
Starlight - 8/18/2010, 8:48 AM
Is Nick Fury supposed to be "young" in the Cap movie?

@ Orphix

Just because a movie has a fantastic premise doesn't mean you should play fast and loose with history.

@ Ranger14

Yes there were black sergeants and lieutenants and even a one star general. Each held command over black soldiers.
