The Orions are known in the Star Trek universe as an alien species with green-skin. They're a seductive race first introduced as an illusion in the original pilot for "Star Trek." They were later brought back in future episodes eventually. It has been depicted in the series that no human male can resist them due to the high level of pheromones they release.

In the "Star Trek" remake directed by J.J. Abrams, actress and ex-Guess model, Diora Baird, brought to life a representation of the species but the clip never made the theatrical film release. Being released as a deleted scene, you can now watch the clip before the official DVD/Blu-ray releases on November 17.

Correct the Orioins are also blue, but u wont' find any pic of them in the series or movies, & the Males are slaves to the women.

I bet he felt like an ass in that seen.

@josh

I too read the credits online and her name didn't appear so when I saw this deleted scene, It boggled my mind why she wasn't mentioned.

@multi
I guess they saw her as not "worthy" of getting screen time but I think she should've been held at a "greater" esteem since her character is a well known one in the Star Trek universe...but they may have a reason behind this so who knows

@teabag
Thanks bud

@Spock
I knew there are males in the species. I'm not familiarized much with the extensive history of Star Trek but I only read about the species being green...but thanks for the heads up

One more thing, has anyone else seen Chris Pine in "Carriers?"

That is truly one of the worst films I've seen this year. Money wise, I can see why a young actor would participate but after doing Star Trek and gaining critical acclaim, If I were his agent, I would've been concerned about him taking the role. The movie just suffers in all categories and very badly at that.

Whispers: Yeah, Im not sure that they alway credit the people from deleted scenes! I've seen Baird in a few other things and she's actually a pretty decent actress IMO!

no worries. This is a site with many users with massive knowledge. I don't ever feel funny or weird when someone corrects me.
