For those who are eagerly awaiting the release of Matthew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class, will be happy with this news. Although nothing is confirmed, NY Times has put a running time for the film, and they are usually spot on with this kind of thing.

Movie Details:

- Title: X-Men: First Class

- Running Time: 140 Minutes

- Status: Awaiting Release

- Country: United States

- Genre: Action, Adaptation, Adventure

There you go...I think this is great news if it's true, because there is so much this film can do. So, what do you think? Is 140 minutes long enough?

140 Minutes omg it gets worst... 80 mins is enough!

THOR should have been 3 hours!

@Lee777: Gotta admit...that's a vastly superior runtime compared to Fox's dumbed down 1:30 minute releases with Last Stand and Wolverine, right?

true true and my only complaint about Thor was it could have been longer for more character development but I think with all they need to cover this is perfect. There is so much going on they are covering WWII the Cuban Missile Crisis along with the history of these characters. For todays younger crowds and new generation of comic fans that's a lot at once you can't make it short.

I'm going to wait to judge this movie till I see it. Every preview looks better and better. I don't want to be one of those people who complains online about how bad a movie looks then praise it once I see it (95% of the people on here).

Thats good news, now we will have time for the characters to be fleshed out and built upon, instead of just thrown together (Looking at you Wolverine:Borigins)

Wouldn't you be wasting a few minutes of your lives by reading about and complaining about a film you say u won't see, then why do you care I you don't wanna see it?

just saw Thor last night and it was a great ride. Best CBM to date! It was action packed, beautifully filmed - Loki damn near stole the show! I will be seeing it again, but First Class?

I'm gonna wait for more reviews before I spend my money there. I will definitely not be seeing it first night.

TABS @ I knew BORIGINS would suck and it did...

This will make even X3 look a masterpiece!

ORIGINAL 5 X-MEN would have been the only thing to make this movie awesome!!!

Even without them, Fox might have got away with it if they didn't butt [frick] half the characters!

Damn insult and yes @ TEA, Smallville too, but a part from the wedding bit in the final its gonna be as good as it used to be!

But yeah CW is like the small screen version of FOX!

But at least they got their sh1t together in the finale! :P

Bottom line is, theres no excuse for X3, BORIGINS, FIST A$$ & SMALLVILLE SEASONS 8 to 10!

First Class is 25 mins longer than Thor because it probably has a story with depth to tell. Thor was fun and all, but what was the point? Why did we need to worry that the Frost Giants would threaten the Asgardian's "way of life?"(Which was what exactly??) Or that the Destroyer would lay waste to a town that could be evacuated in 5 minutes? Plus putting up zero resistance when Thor (surpirze, surprize) got his powers back (Through his Hammer. Was that in the comics?) I'll say it again, I liked Thor, but I will never confuse it with a movie that is more than a good action flick.

Marvel should have went the epic fantasy route and made Thor longer with more of a Lord of the Rings style story to tell with Thor and the Warriors 3 going on a quest that had some purpose to it! But they took the safe way out and made a formulaic action movie which was entertaining, but lacking.

First Class looks like it could be beating Thor in both story and box office $$$ so far!!!

if true, it can be the x-men movie with the best character development from the whole franchise.

I want to believe this.

as soon as i saw the headline to this article i just knew people were gonna bitch about it.

it wouldn't be a CBM comment section if there was no bitching, even about the run time of a movie not a single one of us has seen.

amazing. and congrats to us all, we've set a standard and stuck to it :)

I [frick]ing love this site :)

that being said: 2 hours 20 minutes!?! [frick] meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!
