X-Men: First Class charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men.

X-Men: First Class is set to hit theatres on June 3.

The only complaint I can understand anyone having about this flick is that it deviates from the original First Class comic, and that being the case... I can only advise you to get over it, so that you can enjoy a potentially amazing film. I haven't read the comic, but NOTHING of what I've seen so far has looked less than spectacular. Great actors, a great director, a riveting premise... I can't wait, and if you have any brains or common sense, it should be the same with you. Otherwise, you simply don't deserve entertainment ;)

@Jinkuai YES!!!!!!!!!!!!! I see where you're going with that......Most definitely what should be shown.....better yet just play 4 episodes of the 90's show at a at the theaters, that would be better than this garbage they are showing.

@MovieTheaterLad Those are the costume the REAL X-men wear. You SHOULD be talking about those God awful flight suits the movie showed :)...........

@ cherry bomb...so far i don't like what i see regarding mystique but that clip you posted...i hope that "tragedy" is a very definitive moment in the film that turns her into the insane and deceptive mystique we all know because all those scenes with mystique as a little girl and being affectionate with beast make my blood boil...crap looks corny

@thewolfx - X-Men fans and non X-Men will probably enjoy this movie and rightly so becasue it looks excellent. But die-hard X-Men comic fans who think the only way to do an adaptation is to follow every inconceivable frame, design and superfluous story that got printed in the comic will never allow themselves to enjoy this. ..Their Loss!

@Ceejay totally right because the people that made Iron Man had NO idea what they were doing....

Seriously? Man, no one is asking for it to be perfect (Clearly Iron Man wasn't) but could FOX take the time to at least get that close?

@BaneKill77 Dude, its a super hero movie; ridiculous costumes is the main thing to differentiate heroes from the norms.

Plus real life & fantasy can work out well in comic book movie, didn't the movie Thor just prove that days ago.

I think what Peteyparker is saying is that FOX could have gotten the costumes right in the last four X-Men movies by making them similar to the comics and be realistic about it. Like, for example, Wolverine's costume could have been something similar to his appearance in Marvel Ultimate Allience 2.

@Namor Yeah, I could just sit at home and whine like a bitch while everyone else have fun watching First Class.
. . . Or, maybe I could just watch movies that are better and a lot more fun than First Class like Kung Fu Panda 2 and The Hangover Part 2; yeah maybe I should do that instead of watching this movie.

@BaneKill77 I'm pretty sure that Wolvies costume is iconic, Gambit's too and Psylocke... yep.
Peteyparker
Peteyparker - 5/11/2011, 7:05 PM
@Banekill77 I'm not asking for Adam West BAtman or even Bat nipples.....but Iron Man, Thor, Spider-Man (Raimi), and Captain America found away to take an iconic spandex multicolored outfit and make it practical and feel real. But FOX would rather focus on who they can STUFF into the F-ing movie than work on bringing our characters to life. Example (Wolverine:Origins) "Hello, I'm Gambit. I'm not related to the plot but the fans wanted me so this is 15 minute time slot................Ok you won't see me for any other movie, goodbye."
