From Academy Award®-winning filmmaker Andrew Stanton, "John Carter of Mars" is a sweeping action adventure set on the mysterious and exotic planet of Barsoom (Mars). Based on the classic sci-fi novel by Edgar Rice Burroughs, the film tells the story of John Carter (Taylor Kitsch), who is inexplicably transported to Mars where he becomes embroiled in a conflict of epic proportions amongst the inhabitants of the planet, including Tars Tarkas (Willem Dafoe) and the captivating Princess Dejah Thoris (Lynn Collins). In a world on the brink of collapse, Carter discovers that the survival of Barsoom and its people rests in his hands.

Nice, seriously hope this is successful. Worried by the fact that a lot of the elements from the book has been used by other film makers in there movies and the fact that people might call this a knock off when its actually not.

Looks really cool! Anything with Willem Dafoe is automatically awesome.

Plus those shots of the world of Mars look amazing, the action sequences they showed seem pretty wicked, as well.

Even though it's Disney, it still has potential. Disney made The Sorcerer's Apprentice, which I know alot of people hated, but I thought was pretty cool.

This is pretty inconsequential, but reuniting Gambit and Silver Fox from Borigins? If I believed in bad luck, this would be foreboding.

Im actually impressed....where i havent been previously with Disney. Im really hoping that Disney will allow for the Marvel Universe to be explored with due justice and that we dont get dumbed down versions of the characters simply to get kiddie appeal. For example....i dont see yet how they will be able to pull off a good family version of the PUNISHER...or DAREDEVIL if Slade doesnt get on the ball.

Prince of Persia goes to Mars...and the Alien ships remind of Cowboys and Aliens..designed like dragonflies.

and They showed the Alien too.

No, at 1:38 this is most definitely a teaser.

Not sure wardrobe and CGI are up to scratch but I think the music is incredible.

The song is "My Body is a Cage" by Peter Gabriel. It's a cover of an Arcade Fire song.

The trailer isn't spectacular and I expect the movie to bomb.

as usual intruder is himself,commenting on matters totally irrelevant to the post and dragging TDKR to this,but other than his usual silly self,

the trailer looks good,sort of like prince of Persia which was a cool film as well.doesn't really pump you up to a MUST SEE mentality but looks like could be a good movie worth watching nonetheless.
