I have to say, I love that new teaser for The Amazing Spider-Man. Garfield looks great as Parker, the costume is just what you expect from a homemade design, and that POV style at the end...brilliant! It's still very early to say if the film will be good or not, but here are thirty high-res screengrabs from the trailer, showing us Dr. Connors, Gwen Stacy, Spidey and much more.

The Amazing Spider-Man will be released in 3D on July 3, 2012. The film stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Campbell Scott, Irrfan Khan, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field. The film is directed by Marc Webb from a screenplay by James Vanderbilt and Alvin Sargent and Steve Kloves based on the Marvel Comic Book by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. Laura Ziskin, Avi Arad, and Matt Tolmach are producing the Marvel Entertainment production for Columbia Pictures. The executive producers are Stan Lee, Kevin Feige, and Michael Grillo.

@DJSpidey26 Why does it matter where he is bitten? If a Spider bites you anywhere on your body it will have the same effect, on the neck the poison would just work faster.. Also if a spider was on my hand, I would probably kill it before it had a chance to bite me, the neck is hidden from site.

Why are movies these days going to the "dark" genre?

The trailer for the first Spider Man was exciting and fun...and the whole movie was really enjoyable.

This trailer looks to sad and doesn't want to make me see this movie...not exciting.

i do not care if I am in the minority. I think this looks fantastic, exactly the Spidey movie that I never got with Raimi.....yes yes fanboys slobber all over his films, good for them........this tonal / stylistically is looking dead on track.

haters be damned. this AND Avengers AND Superman AND Batman in the same year??? bliss.

Will J. Jonah Jameson be in this movie, because i don't think anyone can replace J.K Simmons. He embodied the role perfectly.

@ Wolvie: Very nice, thanks for those. However, i must dispute your comment that the costume looks homemade. How exactly? It is a very complicated design(and flamboyant but that's another issue) that was obviously made by nutty fashion designers for the movie, not something a geeky kid would make. And what about the material? What is it and where would he get it? Don't get me wrong, the Raimi costume had the same issues, the wrestling version was realistic and then suddenly he has this perfect spandex costume. So unless they decide to show the creation in detail to explain it, I think it will be just as silly as the Raimi suit.

Any ideas what he is pulling off his neck? Webbing? Why?

@ StingrayX: I agree that Spidey is fun when he's swinging around and cracking jokes, but his story is very dark and sad. The kid loses both parents, he is geeky and unpopular and has no money, then his inaction results in his uncle's death. Not the happiest tale in the world. Which is exactly what makes him so great and relatable, he has every day problems that he tries to cope with while trying to use his fantastic abilities to be a hero. Which usually causes him more problems. Sometimes his life is a mess and we can all relate to that.

This trailer is pretty freaking epic in 3D. I watched it earlier today and the first person running around in 3D is really awesome.

Let's hope they don't make it a huge gimmick.

I think he does have organic webs in the movie, but he needs the webshooters to propel them, which makes more sense than him having all that pressure inside his arm.

the general public still remembers raimis movies , if this movie doesnt blow us away expect me to be here to make alot of people look even more dumb then what they already do now .
