SDCC '11: New Details On Hulk TV Series; Luke Cage & Carol Danvers Confirmed To Be In Jessica Jones TV Show!

We have already heard some info regarding the upcoming Marvel TV projects, but now Marvel's Head of Television Jeph Loeb, shared some brand new details at San Diego Comic Con for Hulk, Cloak and Dagger and Jessica Jones series that will feature Luke Cage and Carol Danvers!

The first show concept is "aka Jessica Jones" at ABC, based on Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Gaydos' "Alias," which Loeb described as a story about "a failed superhero." "We obviously can't call it 'Alias,' thank you JJ Abrams." Loeb said the show would feature Carol Danvers and Luke Cage.

"Hulk" was the next project announced, "a brand new take on the character" set in his early years, "before everyone knew his secret," and focused on the love story between Banner and Betty Ross.

"Cloak and Dagger" for ABC Family was announced next, a story about "two teenagers who discover each other and find their powers both complement and complicate their lives." The series will be set in post-Katrina New Orleans, prompting a fan near the front to gasp, "Holy Shit!" "You can come to every panel," Loeb said.

"Mockingbird" is also in development for ABC Family, depicting Bobby Morse as "a Peter Parker Nerd" who is recruited to a secret organization.

As you all know, Hulk TV show is being developed by Guillermo del Toro. As for other projects, I think everything sounds interesting and it could work. So, what do you think? Which show are you most looking forward to?

Jessica Jones, Cloack and Dagger could be really good. And I'll reserve my judgement about a Hulk Tv Show but Del Toro's involved so its hard not to be excited about it. Mockingbird could be fun depending on who's involved really. As nice as it is to see live action, I wanna hear more about the animated tv shows.

@ComicFan69, the difference between these shows and Smallville and Wonder Woman is that Marvel is directly developing the shows, as opposed to Warner Bros. TV.

And these shows are not going to be based on or inspired by the comics, they're going to pretty much be faithful adaptations.

This feels like it will be very cool.Because all the shows are made by Marvel and are on 2 ABC channels, it will be very easy to set them in the same universe, as well as connecting them with The Cinematic Universe.That secret organization in 'Mockingbird' has to be S.H.I.E.L.D.

Anything new i will try out till we get some pictures , scripts , or even a direction i can not judge . Just wish DC would take the hint and use some of their less known Heroes and make a name for themselves. At least Marvel is trying and that is why Marvel is winning. Let's be honest how many people knew about Blade until it was a feature length film .

I would actually hold my breath on some of these.

Ashley Benson is currently on Pretty Little Liars, so that isn't happening.Rachael Taylor is currently on Charlie's Angels, so that's not happening either.

But, this is Chuck's last season, so Yvonne Strahovski is a possibility.

Not really sure what Eliza Dushku is doing, nor do I think she fits the role.

Moon Knight would be Epic...Frank Castle The Punisher would be epic as well... Hell id love to see an X-Men drama with all the relationship issues and what not.I really just want to see Jaime Pressley play Rogue, that southern accent is just entirely too sexy.Fck It Do Gambit & Rogue

@ tazmaniac, yeah...i didn't think about ashley being on pretty little liars currently...and they will be on the same tv channel...so that will not work....but she could pull it off.

I think if scheduling is right rachael could do it....

eliza dushku is not doing much currently....i believe she could with the right script. she is a wonderful actress...

Ah, so this is what's going on with Luke Cage as well. Maybe somewhere down the road some of these characters will cameo in movies too. Or even by time they get Iron Fist going they can find someone who would not only do a movie but be interested in doing a tv show too, so they could introduce him with a movie and movie him in regularly into the tv show with Carol and Luke.

OH yes! Cloak and Dagger and Jessica Jones are definitely gonna be awesome! I'm hopeful about the other 2 as well but I can't be sure until I hear more about them.

@TayDee- I agree, i'll watch every single show too.

But why make a Jessica Jones show that features Luke Cage, when you can have a Heroes For Hire show with Luke Cage & Iron Fist that features Jones. The Hulk sounds like it will be good, but i didn't know that they were making a Mockingbird show. I wonder how that will turn out?

@ComicFan69, but Marvel is the studio that's making it.I'm not saying if it will be good or bad, but however it turns out, at least it will be their vision and not some other studios.

I love Cloak& Dagger! that show will be amazing.
Jessica Jones show looks like it could be pretty awesome too! (: and I like the sound of a "peter parker nerd" becoming an agent ... it'll be a good replacement for Chuck when that finishes.

@tazmaniak, outside of "Mutant X" (which ran for about 3 seasons) what other live action television series has Marvel Studios or Marvel Entertainment produced? How can you even attempt to compare their mediocre success to that of "Smallville" which ran 10 seasons?

As long as they are all set in the MCU I think it's a great idea to bring these lesser known characters to light. All it takes is a small cameo or even a mention of the other characters or events from the movies to make this happen.

I'm definitely going to check out the Mockingbird show. I've always liked that character.

@Marvel, there's alot of "darker" shows on that channel now a days. They obviously don't have gore but there's alot of shows that deal with sex, death, murder, etc.

not being from the america i couldn't tell you whats on that channel but i heard abc is a family channel.

cloak & dagger were heroin addicts & they were experimented on thats how there powers came to be,if i remember correctly.

@marvel72, no...they weren't druggies...they were kidnapped...and they were drugged, along with many other runaway children. thats when they gained their abilities. so no...they didn't use drugs for pleasure or anything...it was forced
