Written by Kevin Tancharoen, Aaron Helbing and Todd Helbing, and available online this spring from Warner Bros. Digital Distribution, the "Mortal Kombat" digital new media series is an anthology of multiple live action shorts. Each episode will provide never-before-revealed insights into characters featured in the upcoming videogame as well as the game’s universe…Fans will be able to delve deep into the history of the warriors they know and love including "Sub-Zero" and "Scorpion."

@Starlight, Tancharoen said that since Liu Kang is the main character, his story is generally explored more than everybody else.We all know him.They wanted to touch on some of the lesser exposed characters in these 9 episodes.

If they get a second season, he intends to introduce Liu Kang there.

As much as I love Mortal Kombat and am a die hard fan, I really don't like this series. The first two episodes were the only good ones, and even that isn't saying much.

Loved the "Project Hydro Fatality, Excellent!". Overall good series, Michael Jai as Jaxx was awesome he owned the part, would LOVE to see him do Blade!

The episodes do get better as they go and thats what i expect. This is why i think Season 2 will be a lot better.

the first 2 episodes of season 2 has to scorpion taking out subzero so his brother can take his place followed by Smoke as well as a noob episode and ermac i mean cmon. Theres so many good characters what about Goro? i could do this all day. This episode was great btw lol

The CGI on this is really good. It's sad that a free webepisode of MK has better special effects than a big budget Incredible Hulk movie. Makes NO sense lol.

Very good episode, just when you really get into it it's over lol. But that's ok, hopefully with the first season done WB will be smart and get this in the CW or another station as a Tv series.
