Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ “The Dark Knight Rises” is the epic conclusion to filmmaker Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy. The screenplay is written by Christopher Nolan and Jonathan Nolan, story by Christopher Nolan & David S. Goyer. The film is produced by Emma Thomas, Christopher Nolan and Charles Roven, who previously teamed on “Batman Begins” and the record-breaking blockbuster “The Dark Knight.” The executive producers are Benjamin Melniker, Michael E. Uslan, Kevin De La Noy and Thomas Tull, with Jordan Goldberg serving as co-producer. The film is based upon characters appearing in comic books published by DC Comics. Batman was created by Bob Kane.




Starring Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard and Morgan Freeman, The Dark Knight Rises is set to hit theatres on July 20, 2012!

I think Nolan is going to close this trilogy on one hell of a high note. As far as Anne Hathaway goes, if Nolan chose her, then I trust it. The man has far too much credit in the bank with me to otherwise doubt the choice. 2012 is going to be a hell of a year!

I really think,knowing now that its set 8 years from TDK, that this is going in the direction of The Dark Knight Returns somewhat...with bane replacing the mutant gang leader. Someone said it in an earlier post and it just makes total sense.

Isn't that the first suit and not the newer one used in TDK? Maybe the other one gets ruined or loaned out? Wasn't Levitt spotted in a Batsuit previously? 2 for the price of 1?

I don't wish this movie bad but, the truth is, this movie:
- it won't brake the four records set by Harry Potter
- it won't even brake his previoues record (tdk)
- it won't make another billion, close but I don't think

the reason I say these things is because this time, outside the established fan base, they don't have the hype created by the death of Heath Ledger or any buzz about the "acting" of Tom Hardy as Bane....
will it be a good movie, most likely YES, coz it has Nolan in it

The Avengers either, I don't think it wiii brake records (I hope it does) but truth to be told, I don't think so, it will be fun to watch, a lot more fun than tdkr and therefore I'm more excited to see The Avengers than tdkr....

WB owns TDK and Harry Potter so it's a win for them either way.

Avengers has more flashy spectacle to it, but who knows how it will deliver story-wise. Also the action in every Marvel movie hasn't been impressive. Who knows how much of their budget they have left over to do something really epic. Hiring all those actors and doing CGI Hulk is going to eat up a lot of their budget. I wouldn't be surprised if there's no alien invasion and it's all an illusion by Loki.

TDKR will probably have a better story, but maybe people are tired of Batman or they'll miss the Joker. It will probably be a more solid and fulfilling movie experience.

Too close to call either way.
