I haven't heard about this one before, but it seems that the director of Predators, Nimrod Antal, is working on a new science fiction project called Repossession of Max the Companion Robot, which sounds very much like a cross between Blade Runner and Repo Men. Thanks to Quiet Earth, we now have the official synopsis and some first concept art for the film. Check it out below:

Set in a future in which robots are as ubiquitous as pets are today. And if you don’t make your robot loan payments, your mechanical best friend will be repossessed by people like Lee, a repo agent who refuses to see robots as sentient individuals and has built up large debts betting on robo-races.

Lee’s latest repo job takes him to the doorstep of Mike and Max, the former a
man who has lost everything in a tragedy, and the latter an adorable companion robot who would do anything to stay with his master. With the help of the little robot, the two men end up joining forces to take down the repo business, discovering brand-new destinies along the way.

I'm looking forward to seeing more from this, because it sounds interesting. What do you think?

This isn't a comic book movie. If this site reported on every sci-fi/fantasy movie that sounds interesting, there wouldn't be any point in calling it ComicBookMovie.com.

Weird...but the concept seems that it might have potential if it's re-worked.

BTW, I'm a repo man... and I WILL shoot you.

I once had to repo this perv's 'Real Doll'. He said he wasn't ready for a divorce- that he still loved 'her'. So a threw him a bone and traded 'it' with my real wife. So far it's worked out really well.
