The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance - leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

Starring Andrew Garfield, Rhys Ifans, Emma Stone, Denis Leary, Sally Field and Martin Sheen, The Amazing Spider-Man is set to hit theatres on July 3rd, 2012.

Very nice, far better than the last two clips, Garfield and Leary seem to have fantastic chemistry together and the last line was great.

"Do I look like the Mayor of Tokyo to you?"

Funny. Well scripted. Good acting.

VFX is the problem I still have.

Because the practical stunts look... amazing.

tired of people saying they are still not sold on this. It will be an awesome movie. Garfield is a great actor and he will deliver. I am going to see it because I am a spider-man fan and there is no way this movie can suck. Maybe it wont be great, but it wont suck. Should be a fun movie to watch

@ IronAmerica13 Yeah that's because Tobey Maguire was so great! and because everything about this film looks like shit in comparison. *sarcasm* by the way.

Garfiled IS a great actor, I've seen him in Red Riding, Never Let Me Go and The Social Network and he was brilliant in all of them. I just haven't seen anything from his take on Parker that has sold me on him being right for that particular role yet. I can't put my finger on it, just have to wait and see.

lame. campy dialogue played for laughs. also, the set up is silly and too convenient. parker talks to cop, cop has daughter, daughter's mentor is the lizard, lizard fights spider-man, spider-man is parker. a giant, silly, lazy writer's circle.

come on sheeple. i literally might just skip this one and i go to every piece of crap super hero film.

His accent really irritates me. It isn't overly consistent in the footage I have seen and I find it just doesn't resonate for me. Probably one of the reasons I haven't bought into him as Parker yet.

"@Ranger14 What are you talking about? In all of the speaking scenes I've seen him in, he doesn't have an accent at all."

Ummm...you can't hear his "Brooklyn" accent?
Nighmarewalking117
Nighmarewalking117 - 6/6/2012, 7:57 PM
@NinjaJesus, didn't you just say on the first-page, "That it was a shit-suit and should be rebooted" soemthing along that line, I believe.
Ranger14
Ranger14 - 6/6/2012, 8:40 PM
""@Ranger14 I've heard Brooklyn accents, and he doesn't sound like any I've heard."

That's kind of my point. He uses it...doesn't use it...but it's definitely there. Not sure if he is doing a Brooklyn, Bronx or generic New York accent, but it's there. I just assumed it was Brooklyn being that is where he is. Gwen Stacy's home, etc. His bio doesn't state an actual home other than he was born in Forest Hills.
