yeah that avengers cartoon looks essentially like power rangers with their very random metal battle armor. Probably why it failed miserably.
The ones that looked interesting that I had never seen before was the Japanese Spider-man show and the Spider-Man Unlimited.
The new XMEN show looks good however I hate that its called Wolverine and the Xmen. Wolverine always gets the spotlight, it would be like having a show called Captain America and the Avengers, to me makes the group sound like sidekicks or backups to the main Hero. But it does have a good cast of Xmen that dont look like teenagers so thats a plus.
Last but not least, did anyone watch that Blade series cause it was kind of a good series. If you havent you should check it out.

lol, japanese spider man cant resist sticking a giant robot in there.

i hated spectacular spiderman at first but its really grown on me. wolverine and the xmen is the best x cartoon to date (yes better than the 90s one!)

never saw the avengers, dont want to now!

mutant x was a travesty

Why would spiderman have a giant robot? but anyway, I only seen some in the first video. Most in the second video. and all in teh last video. But good sh!t, I thought marvel had a captiain america and thor cartoon. Maybe I'm wrong.

That must have been daunting work getting all of those intros. They missed Iron Man: Armored Adventures, though.

The 90's Hulk was great, The Leader was awesome in that. "...so says The Leader."

No matter how many times they pump out a Fantastic Four cartoon, I just can't get into it. They're boring to me. The only times I make it a point to watch is if it's either the Galactus storyline or Hulk shows up and him and Thing go at it.

The 90's X-Men was hard to beat, until Wolverine and The X-Men came along. That show is great and it does a good deal of justice to the characters, something X-Men:Evolution failed hard at. Sure Wolverine is the leader but the stories take the time to spotlight the other members. Nightcrawler's story in which he takes it to Spiral was awesome to watch.

I hope it sticks around as long as the 90's X-Men.

man oh man i honestly can say i follewed like 5 of those shows. brought back memories.
The one i wished they would of continued was the X-men in the 1980 where only the pilot was released on VHS.
I think that was the best one for the X-men. I also remeber Generation X having a movie from fox. I think it was only televised.

I like how u can see the twin towers in the old intro from the sixties. Yes, the Japanese Spiderman was friggin sweet, lol, the giant Go Bots Robot had me rollin! I never noticed Peter Park fromt the old Spiderman show was old as shit! Fool was like in his late fifties, lol! I wonder if he was suppose to be in high school? Tht old incredible hulk, actually looks cool, i mean the cartoon from the 80s. That X-Men intro still haunts my dreams, lol. I remember it every Saturday, lol, duh duh duh den den, duh duh duh den den! Lol!I don't remember Iron Man, but I remember that RADIOACTIVE SPIDER MAN with that robot voice, Peter Frampton must of did that, lol, I loved that show!I never saw Mutant X but it looks cheesy, never watch Wolverine and The X-Men either but it looks pretty badass!

I got the Iron Man and the Thor series from the 60´s on DVD in a trip to NYC last year, in that famous comic book store called hill-mills comics or something like that. they got the FF series and others from those years..i was looking for the captain america series and the avengers series but didnt have them.

I know those were just a single drawing moving left and right and "vibrating" movements with "POW" letters in the action scenes but to me they kind of rocked, cause as far as i remember they were close to the silver age comics... i saw those in TV in the early 80´s in spanish here in Mexico, but i know Stan Lee did the off voice for the original release, right?

-- and as for the Wolverine AND the Xmen title and treatment of Wolvie, yes i dont like it either, cause Cyclops and then also Storm have always been the Team leaders (Gold and Blue teams right?),

BUT it is all part of MARVEL´S PLANS TO "TIE IN" A MOVIE WITH A CARTOON, just like the Armored adventures ties in with the 2008 IM movie and in 2010 the Thor movie will have an opposite TV animated series as well,
as CMB reported remember?

but the W & the XM cartoon came out before the movie hits theathers in 2009.

MarkCassidy
MarkCassidy - 12/22/2008, 5:58 PM
yeah its just to draw attention to wolvie, the cartoon doesnt put him in the spotlight that much..its actually better at developing the other characters than the movies wer!

i think DC need to make some more cartoons, green lantern, lobo, SANDMAN!...the ones they have done already are class. batman, superman and justice league
Perrigren
Perrigren - 12/22/2008, 11:15 PM
yeah, a few of the early cartoons were missed, like the 1966 hulk which had this intro: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dj26N10Ymlg and Captain America with this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=js7LRe_tCoM&feature=related

all in all very good though and a lot of great shows in there, good memories...I wish they had kept going with some of them like Silver Surfer, it ended right in the middle of the season which kinda sucked. I hope they keep doing theme songs for them though, they always make it more enjoyable

As bad as some of those were. They still represent the awesomeness that is and will always be Marvel. So bravo to the guy who found and then put all of that together. Very well done.

i miss those cartoons. Fox Kids freakin rocked on Saturday mornings. I remember waking up at 6 in the morning for x-men, that was me rebelling at 3 years old!!

Today's cartoons just don't seem to have the same feeling to them anymore.
