Pilot For Remake Of "The Munsters" Ordered By NBC

It seems now TV shows are not out of the grasp of remakes either.

This crazy sitcom ran from 1964-66. "The Munsters" was a family of 'punnily' named monsters consisting of the father Herman--a Frankensteinish monster, Lily--a vampiress, vampiric son Eddie, and Grandpa--an actual vampire and mad scientist.
Involved in the show is "Dead Like Me" and "Pushing Daisies" Creator Bryan Fuller. Apparently also intrigued by the project is the ever popular horror/fantasy director Guillermo Del Toro.

The show is being described as “Modern Family meets True Blood," which sounds awesomely hilarious.
