why is everyone bashing bay? he is a great blockbuster, action movie director. you don't watch his movies for the moral lesson learnt in the end but for the fun of it. to each director his own.

That's why i love Nolan, he is a perfectly balanced director. he can come up with a good script, with good visuals, tension and action. I think that, as a director you must be able to recognize the pros and cons of every movie and director and learn from them. So, Nolan likes Bay movies, why not?

They both use as little CGI as possible (obviously you can't do not CG Transformers), I wonder if that's what he respects. I've only seen the Transformers movies so I can't really judge the guy.

I guess Chris Nolan likes Bay the way that I like Steven Seagal.

Michael Bay is a good action director apart from that he does not know how to bring a good story on film.

WHAT!!!! That is odd. If I was Nolan I would rather be inspired by the likes of J.J Abrams, Steven Spielberg, or Peter Jackson cus Nolan is way up there with the big leagues not Michael's action-only directing...

Every Michael Bay movie is the same movie.
He takes the same formula and paints over it with different plot/actors.

@flames809

never said they was not good i point out to Luigi that other movies that Michael Bay directed. he only knows Michael Bay directed Transformers.

Transformers 1 was good Transformers 2 was poor. the reason why Transformers 1 was good is that Steven Spielberg was more hands on with the project the second movie Steven Spielberg step back and let Michael Bay do everything.

jazz- yea i know. and the reason t2 wasn't good as t1 is because it lost the heart of the transformer t1 had.

@flames809

yes it lost the heart but also Steven Spielberg did not get involved much in the sequel. Steven Spielberg movies always about the heart of the story and characters. when he was not involved much it was sort of a warning sign.

Christopher Nolan is a very intellectual guy who obviously has an IQ of 180 lol. So to me it's obvious why he loves to go to Michael Bay movies: You can literally leave your brain at the door and watch things blow up! It's kind of like R&R for his brain hahaha
