Luke Cage - Henry Simmons
Henry Simmons has the build and youthful look to play Luke Cage. According to IMDB, the man is 6'4", ripped and a good actor as I remember him from World's Greatest Dad (2009). My second pick for Cage would be Isaiah Mustafa, who is 6'3" from the Old Spice commercials.
Luke Cage is co-founder of the Heroes for Hire and current member of the Avengers.
Iron Fist / Danny Rand - Ryan Phillippe
Ryan Phillippe has expressed interest in playing a comic book hero, stating that he's a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and has been training in martial arts since he was nine years old. He gets a lot of flack for being in a string of teen movies in the late nineties, but the man has range as evident from White Squall, Flags of Our Fathers and Crash.
Misty Knight - Meagan Good
Meagan Good is one of the hottest actresses in Hollywood. Of the movies I've seen, she was really good in Waist Deep (co-starring with former Luke Cage favourite, Tyrese Gibson) and has done silly action movies like Biker Boyz and D.E.B.S. so you know she's no stranger to stunt work.
Misty Knight is the current leader of the Heroes for Hire and is best friends with Colleen Wing. Both of whom were the first female members of Heroes for Hire.
Colleen Wing - Devon Aoki
Another star of D.E.B.S., Devon Aoki had made a career of playing action-oriented bad asses. 2 fast 2 Furious, DOA: Dead on Alive, War, The Mutant Chronicles and her portrayal of Miho from Sin City is probably the most recognizable.
Shang-Chi - Rain
Rain is an international celebrity and was introduced to North American audiences with his film, Ninja Assassin. Despite what you might think of the movie, you cannot deny the epic violence, gore and lack of punches pulled in that movie. If he were to pull off any of the Marvel characters, it would have to be Shang-Chi.
Tarantula / Maria Vasquez - Alice Braga
I first noticed Brazilian actress, Alice Braga in City of God. An amazing movie from 2002 that I think everyone should check out. She never really popped up on my radar again until I Am Legend and Predators. I think she's a very talented actress and would be a great fit for this ensemble.
Brother Voodoo - Lance Reddick
Lance Reddick has been a working actor for close to fifteen years and has appeared in numerous television programs such as Oz, Law & Order: SVU, The Wire, Lost and is currently on the show, Fringe. The first time I saw Reddick on Lost, he was mysterious and I thought his body type was lanky enough to be Brother Voodoo.
Black Cat / Felicia Hardy - Alison Lohman
Alison Lohman is one of those girls you see in movies all th time, but isn't a household name yet... when she has one of the most impressive resumes of any young actress in Hollywood! She usually tackles complex, dramatic characters in films like White Oleander, Where the Truth Lies and Things We Lost in the Fire. She can also have fun in movies like Matchstick Men, Big Fish and Drag Me to Hell. I think her complexity and her ability to have fun makes her a great candidate for a slightly more mature Black Cat.
Humbug / Buck Mitty - Chris Marquette
I'm basing this casting on the Heroes for Hire Civil War trade. Humbug was kind of a goofy character. A cross between Kick-Ass and Ant-Man, mixed with a criminal background. Chris Marquette has been in a wide array of films and television work since he was a kid. Some of which include Freddy Vs Jason, The Girl Next Door, Joan of Arcadia, Just Friends, Fanboys, Weeds and The Rite. I think Marquette could hit the comedic tone while taking the character very seriously.
Valkyrie / Brunnhilde - Brie Larson
You might recognize Brie Larson from The United States of Tara and Ivy in Scott Pilgrim Vs the World. Her attitude in both make her the perfect candidate for an angst-riddled, young Asgardian.
