Worthington told reporters that James Cameron is already working on an atlas that will expand the world of Avatar for the sequel's.

“I know he’s nutting out like a bible at the moment,” Worthington said today, “[It’s] sort of like a precursor of Avatar 1, to just get himself back into the world and the mindset and the characters.”

Worthington also mentioned that he is still waiting for a call from Cameron on when to start filming, but he is still excited about the story.

“Jim’s the person who will tell me when to show up,” he laughed. “I’ve talked to him, he’s told me what his plans for the story are, and it’s huge. It’s just monumental. But he’s not going to start until he raises the bar for himself, and he’s in no rush.”

Worthington also commented on Cameron's idea of giving the Avatar world a bible saying it fits with Cameron's detail-oriented approach.

“That’s how he works – it’s very detailed and very weighty,” he observed. “But the story arc is huge; I needed a break halfway through because I was exhausted. It was insane, but it’s amazing. It’s going to be amazing.”

Once I heard the news that a sequel was planned I didnt like the idea. I thought of the first as a classic and didnt want them to ruin it, but it seems like James Cameron has a plan and I trust that he will make this film just as good if not better then the first.

What do you guy's think?

The guotation was "he's nutting out LIKE a bible." Don't know WTF that means. Bible means book anyways.

I saw Green Lantern: Emerald Knights this week and they referenced "scripture" which was interesting.

Avatar is really good, it'll be interesting to see where he takes it. The first ended fine didn't expect any sequels but ah well. Sure it'll be cool.
