Is there anything more evil than comic book villains?  Many say that the hero is actually defined by his or her villains, and there are a lot of great villains for every great hero.  For this, I am automatically counting out Batman's rogues, since they are all pretty much number one on everybodys villains.  Now, this isn't actually a "list", more like just me saying a few heros that I feel have a great gallery of villains to make them look better.  Before I start, here are some hero's besides Batman I won't be mentioning due to a few different factors, not necessarily bad, just not "great":  Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Green Arrow.

Spider-Man

Spider-Man is known for a lot of things, his villains being one of them.  The biggies include Green Goblin, Dr. Octopus, Venom, Lizard, Rhino, Mysterio, Chamaleon, and many more.  Most of his villains, from what I understand, are created through scientific means, just like Spider-Man himself.  Also, his villains are people he knows as Peter Parker in some cases, adding more to the drama and making it a lot more interesting when he has to tackle one, or six, of them.

Flash (Barry Allen)

Honestly, Flash's villains are probably my favorite rogues, which is funny because that is what they call themselves!  They include Professor Zoom/Reverse Flash, Captain Cold, Heatwave, Mirror Master, Gorilla Grodd, and Captain Boomerang.  What makes them so cool to me is how cartoony they are!  We shouldn't be able to take them "seriously", yet they have in fact stood the test of time!  What I also like is that the Rogues actually have a code and ethics, and they refuse to kill innocent people, making them different from other villain team up groups, like the Sinister Six or the Suicide Squad.

The Fantastic Four

We are really getting a treat this year if they're new movie doesn't flop!  The Fantastic Four actually has some of the most evil villains in the Marvel Universe!  Doctor Doom, Galactus, the Frightful Four, Kang the Conquerer, and the Mole Man are to name a few.  Marvel's First Family really does have a lot to deal with!

Superman

The Man of Steel has a lot of enemies to deal with, and as he is probably the most powerful superhero ever, his villains must show that as well.  His villians, like Batman's, are some of the best and most recognizable in DC, and include Lex Luthor, General Zod, Doomsday, Mister Mxyzptlk (one of my favorite villains), Bizaro, and Metallo.  Again, these villains are amongst some of the best in DC, and will continue to be around hopefully for a long time.

The X-Men

The X-Men villains are, again, some of the most powerful in Marvel.  Magneto, Comander Stryker, Sebastian Shaw, the Hellfire Club, and Sabertooth are extemely popular, well known, and very powerful.  The thing about the X-Men villains that I like is that there is so much variety!  We have Stryker, who is for human rights, Shaw, who is for Mutant superiority, and Magneto, who is looking for equality at any means necessary.  The balance is quite nice and makes for an interesting dynamic.

Well, those are the who I feel have some of the best rogues!  I know that there are many other hero's with good ones, but I really don't have enough time to study all of them.  And remember, above all of these heros and villains, Batman has the best (my opinion of course).

Thanks for reading, if you enjoyed, show some love and hit the red thumb!  Thoughts?  Comment below!  Have a good one, peace out.
