The DC Animated Original Movie titled BATMAN VS ROBIN was announced months ago and now we have a leaked image of the Blu-Ray and DVD is available for your viewing.

While the next DC Animated Original Movie is actually Justice League: Throne Of Atlantis, we now have the official artwork for its successor, Batman Vs. Robin...



Not much is known about Batman Vs. Robin at this current moment in time. However we do know that the film will feature the fan favourite Court of Owls and, of course, some sort of conflict between Batman and a Robin (most likely Damian Wayne, if the film is set directly after Son Of Batman). It is worth noting that there is a comic book storyline also called Batman Vs. Robin, written by Grant Morrison. Whether the movie will have anything to do with that storyline remains uncertain.

Anyways, this is the front cover artwork for the animated films. One is Blu-Ray, the other is DVD but it's hard to tell which is which:



Looking at this cover, it's hard not to think of the artwork from The Dark Knight Returns Part 2. Is anyone else excited to see the Court of Owls leap off the page for the first time? Sound off below!

I hate this whole versus trend superheroes have going recently. And based on Son of Batman, there is ZERO chance this will be better than (or really even decent in comparison to) court of owls.

Also, we don't need any more Batman animated movies for a while. What we do need is a movie based on Green Arrow Outsiders War.

It's mind numbingly stupid to constantly produce Batman features when there are so many other DC characters to use.
Don't give me that Batman is most popular shit..that's obvious.
What's not obvious is how DC expects to further their brand if they never give others a chance.

I know it's a business & Bats sells but its short sighted to literally put all your focus on one character.
A smart company with creative creators would try & expand the DCU. Sadly...DC is narrow minded & foolish.
Big Batman fan though..will watch this,hope it's good.

It's not like they haven't tried. Multiple Green Lantern films, Wonder Woman, Flashpoint Paradox (which is basically a Flash movie even though it has the Justice League), Suicide Squad (yeah it had Batman in the title but still), Throne of Atlantis (which is basically going to be an Aquaman movie even though it has Justice League). That said, with the success of Arrow and Flash they should be working on some GA and Flash features right freaking now. I say GA Kill Machine or GA Outsiders War and Flash Rogues Revolution or Flash Gorilla Warfare.

Not usually something I do, but I mean...really? Based on Son of Batman, and considering it's taking the great story of court of owls and putting a vs (a boring overdone trope IMO) and giving it top billing over a story that was already amazing, do you really think this will turn out better than "just good"?

That's another reason I'm concerned. I don't dislike Damien, but I feel like he offsets the familial bond that Bruce and Dick have. With the cover being Batman and Damien, I'd be surprised if the whole Nightwing subplot even makes it in.

Flashpoint was the last highlight, everything since then ranged from okay-ish (Assault on Arkham) to bad (WAR). Son of Batman became great the moment we started watching it as a comedy.

Hopefully 'Throne of Atlantis' will live up to it's potential.

Yeah, I too wish that it was just an adaptation of the Court of the Owls; You know, with Owl Man (Thomas Wayne) and that secret underground maze :/

The DC animated movies were better before they rebooted the universe to follow the New 52. the 2 Batman/Superman movies, The 3 Justice League movies, Under the red hood, Year One and the others were vastly superior to what DC is doing now...
sad thing is, even Though the New 52 movies are crap compared to the older ones, they are still light years ahead of Marvels Animated movies.

@MrNiklander Justice League:Throne Of Atlantis IS a Aquaman movie, just as Justice League: A FLashpoint Paradox WAS a FLASH movie. The head director of the Dc Animated Films said clear as day that they are only putting Justice League in the title so the film will sell more to the average movie going, because the ones that are simply titled don't sell as much (IE Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, ETC). Flashpoint could not have been more of a Flash movie, even though the movie was not called Flash: Flashpoint. Throne of Atlantis is 100% an Aquaman movie. The JLA will definitely be featured in it, but the whole film revolves around Arthur. Throne OF Atlantis is a Aquaman comic story-line after all.
