Recent reports from Twitter have placed veteran Batman actor Adam West in the vicinity of the filming for Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises. Cameo, or coincidence?...

Are you one of the many, MANY fans who have been hoping for star of the original Batman television series Adam West, to make an appearance in Christopher Nolan's current Batman franchise? Well you just might be in luck. Recent reports from Twitter suggest that it might be a possibility. These reports/sightings have placed Adam West in the same vicinity of several current filming locations for The Dark Knight Rises.

Now be sure to note that these are just sightings of Adam West, no one (So far) has spotted the actor on set, or talking/meeting with anyone involved with filming. So for now it could be possible (and likely) that Mr. West is just on vacation in the same area that The Dark Knight Rises is filming. Although it certainly is quite the coincidence if we are to believe these sightings.

And to everyone who is complaining about the cast being so big. Look at how many different people are in a movie. Any movie. Always hundreds and hundreds of different people. So now some of the extras are famous and we are upset. But hey if it was a hot chick or Stan Lee we would be all for it.

Other side of the fence. Stop posting when B List celebs get minor roles in a movie, when it is possible that it doesn't even make it to the final product. Especially when the person has never had anything to do with Batman (or whatever movie character) in the past. "Hey you know that guy who was on an old Lie to Me and a random episode of Las Vegas? Well he is going to in charge of factory safety in a ten second scene in a Batman movie."

why not, nolan likes to put a butt load of extras in his movies for no reason.........the dark knight is an overrated piece, cant wait until they re-boot the franchise to please comic book fans... i dont need a pussy batman that wants to quit for rachel dawes

I hope so. With this being the 7th post Adam West Batman movie, I think a cameo is long over due. I met Mr. West in the early 90's in Chicago and he is a great guy.

Yes Adam West is the man! He deserves a cameo, I always thought him and Keaton should have got small parts in this franchise.


@deathmetalbrain- Clearly you've missed the point of the original Batman, it was NEVER meant to be taking seriously. It was all tounge in cheek and with that in mind, he is an awesome Batman.

@JSloan- Why? That isn't relevant to the thread and it wasn't that great.

I would actually like him to have some small cameo. Like a pilot or store owner or something small that would Kick @$$.
Whether you repect his contribution to Bat mythology or not without him we wouldnt have Burton or Nolan.

That would be awesome! I think it would be great to see a humorous tie in by such a great and serious director such as C.N. A chance to show some relate-ability in the comic/tv world, but yet producing a epic film! And if that's true, why not an appearance by Henry Cavill (Superman)??? PLEASE...

I'm soo siked for this movie! And by the way, nice to know the a "Batcopter" of some sort will be used, but how about the new Batmobile/Tumbler???

This is a Fail IMO. Batman has moved on...so should West. I like West and I actually like the Old Skool Show but I can do without the cheesiness he would bring to a cameo in TDKR.

You know, I remember when Michael Keaton visited the set of 'The Dark Knight' back when they first started filming it in Chicago...and guess what, he didn't cameo in it either. Just like Tom Welling wasn't in 'Batman Begins' like what was rumoured either. There have been a ton of false claims so until you either see West in the film or it's confirmed by the studio, it's %99.9 that he won't be in the film...

Here are the links to my above post...both Keaton and Welling were rumoured to be in the batman films but weren't in the end. This is most likely the case with Adam West...
