Andrew Murray has been nice enough to give me permission to post these exclusive photos that he took earlier in the day. As you remember from recent photos of the Cardington Hangar, we've seen a plane in pieces, but now, we also have a full plane that resembles the one cut-up.

The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters July 20th 2012 and stars Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Michael Caine as Alfred Pennyworth, Garly Oldman as Jim Gordon, Tom Hardy as Bane, Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as John Blake and Marion Cotillard as Miranda Tate.

@ClarkKent1985 - And that is why people like Michael Bay still have a job in filmmaking.

With all due respect, Nolan's direction of action sequences is perfectly fine. His problem with The Dark Knight was with the shots he chose depicting the hand to hand combat. All closeups. If you saw the trailer there was this awesome little bit at Bruce Wayne's fundraiser where Christian Bale casually pulls this awesome move on one of The Joker's thugs to relieve him of his shotgun. Well at least that's how it looked in the trailer, but in the movie he chose a closeup so you couldn't even tell what he did.

The biggest problem with Nolan's action is that he likes Michael Bay's fast and close editing style. But boy he can do some great car chases, and the action in TDK was definitely a step-up from Batman Begins.

@ClarkKent1985- Nolan's direction in terms of action is still better than stupid Bryan Singer's.

THAT guy couldn't direct action to save his life.

Just saying.

And I still say The Dark Knight had sufficient action. Leave Nolan alone, he's a great director and hasn't even made a crappy film.

just because Nolans direction of action is weak doesn't make him less of a great director so how about you Nolanites stop crying and you know get off the guys case. and as far as remember they didn't want Batman to have flashy fighting style hence the reason the chose Keysi and they wanted to do close ups, so it felt like you were in middle of the fight and not just watching it from distance.

I actualy agree that Nolan is not too good on action. At least, he's not very good at hand to hand combat. It's messy. You can never quite see what's going on. I usually switch off, when there's an action scene, but with Nolan it's worse. He's not very good at it. And Dark Knight was not a very good film. Sorry. Begins was a masterpiece, though. All his films are masterpieces, except for The Following and The Dark Knight.
Bryan Singer, however, is really quite good at action. I know people like Micheal Bay are known for doing action movies, but that doesn't mean he can direct action. Singer does it better than Bay, in my opinion. Wolverine Vs. Deathstrike anyone? All those X-men sequences were good. Instead of switching off at the monotonous action, like I usually do, Singer made me pay attention and enjoy.

@ dukeacureds - I consider TDK a masterpiece, but I have to agree about Singer - his X-flicks definitely have some of the best action in any cbms.
