First Trailer for Hellraiser: Revelations

First Trailer for Hellraiser: Revelations

See if the trailer for the latest version in the Hellraiser franchise lives up to the creepy good original.

Synopsis - Two friends in Mexico discover the Lament Configuration and unleash Pinhead, but one decides to try to survive by swapping himself with someone else. Once they go missing, family members go in search of them but find Pinhead instead.

Pinhead makes his return to the silver screen, but that isn't quite the quality I was hoping or expecting. Obviously this is a low budget production, and doesn't seem worthy of the title, "Hellraiser."

Hellraiser: Revelations, directed by Victor Garcia (Mirrors 2), stars Steven Brand, Daniel Buran, Jolene Anderson, Nick Eversman, Stephen Smith Collins, and Jay Gillespie. On VOD and in limited theaters September. On DVD and Blu-ray October 18th.

@bleedthefreak- No, it is a sequel. A quick "keep the rights" one. They're still working on the remake.

So they're going with the whole "hand-held camera/cinema verite to add authenticity" trick, eh? Sorry, but that doesn't fly with a dark fantasy/alternate dimension gore-fest. "Paranormal Activity" and "The Blair Witch Project" were completely different animals. Prolly still rent it, though.

Im a big fan of the first 4. Hated the direct to dvd sequels after but this looks even worse. It completely looks like a fan made film. Garbage.

Hellraiser: A Student Film

Someone needs to go back to the source "The Hellbound Heart" The original movie was good but the producers forced Clive Barker to change the ending. The Order of the Gash is not evil they don't kill for no reason. They come for those who summon them; to give the ultimate in pleasure. The book was about the evil in men not about Hell demons. When you make a deal with a cenobite you must hold up your end and they will do the same.

I'll get off my soapbox now.

I've always considered the first two movies classics. But almost anything the Dimension Extreme is garbage. Revelations looks like a cheap rip off.

hey hollywood, fresh ideas much? who do you think you are, siegel and schuster? remember how they "invented" superman by taking hugo danner and putting a cape on him and saying he was from outer space (also borrowed)? they at least pretended it was something new, you're just retreading a tired franchise. enough remakes/reboots/reimaginings/recrap.

@brewtownpsych Well said!

Watch the documentary "Nightmares in Red, White and Blue" it's about the history of American horror films. They bring up a good point about the current fad of remakes.
They say the films are a reflection of our society in that we didn't learn from our past and are now doomed to repeat it.

This looks really bad. There seems to be no plot line and the whole thing seems all over the place.

Another one!!! Only the first 4 were any good (and they were good!), then it just descended into arty farty, low budget, psychological horror!

No doubt i'll watch it though, I do own the others ;)

Really? Seriously? When the first one came out in 1987 it was pretty scary for it's time. It was actually good enough to spawn a few sequels and gave us one of the most iconic horror movie figures of all time. This shit right here? This shit right here? This shit right here is some BULLSHIT. What an insult to the franchise. Clive must've needed money for medical bills or something to sign off on this shit. They could've made something awesome but instead give us this crap. Count me out.
