The Dark Knight Rises: Updates and Pictures from the Los Angeles Set

Security is MUCH tighter on the Los Angeles set, but I was able to collect pictures, and eye witness accounts.

In addition to the canal filming, there will be a huge "bike race" in the covered garage. not sure when they will film that though.

Here's some photos I took this morning of the canal flood set and the parking garage.

We also saw gas tanks below the shipping containers on Redondo Beach Blvd. We should be seeing some fire or explosions at that location.

Just back to TDKR shoot: Bale on the Batpod, Bike Chase, simulated gunfire ( that appears to glance off Batman

Right now they're still prepping stuff. There's some GPD cars and some Gotham cabs out here.

They just rolled out the Batpod. It's in the parking structure. They're practicing a chase it appears. Oh they're about to start filming. Cars getting ready for the shot.

Batman is riding the batpod

I think Bane's mercs are involved too. There's guys with guns on motorcycles. And it apppears that they have a hostage as well.

What is interesting is there are a lot of star wagons(more than 5). which if this is just a stunt shoot doesnt make sense. There are probably at least a few stars there. heres a pic with a sign that says reactor. maybe Bane tries to melt it down.

Most important part of all these updates in my opinion is that there is a motorcycle chase with Batman on the Batpod and Bane's mercenaries with hostages. Whom did they take hostage?

The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters July 20th 2012 and stars Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Michael Caine as Alfred Pennyworth, Garly Oldman as Jim Gordon, Tom Hardy as Bane, Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as John Blake and Marion Cotillard as Miranda Tate.
