HQ Pictures of The Dark Knight Rises Epic Wall Street Battle

Check out images of the battle on the Batman set, with some great action shots of Matthew Modine leading the charge of the Gotham police force.

The latest scoop is that an extra in the battle scene was tossing punches next to Matthew Modine and his badge didn't say Nixon. The badge actually had "Fynch" on the name tag. Maybe he is related to the first D.A., the guy killed in Batman Begins, Katie Holmes' boss. But that name was spelled "Finch" in the credits, but I never saw the name spelled in the film, so maybe, but its pure speculation on my part.

Anyone else notice this...??

In the picture with all the graffiti, on the top right of the airlines poster, someone scratched out the 'b-i' in the phrase "KEEP CLIMBING" and replaced it with a 'b-o'.

"Keep ClimBONG".

Hahaha a stoner would find that...

@ Intruder: You're an idiot.
This actually looks pretty damn epic. Seeing that many extras on screen is what early hollywood films stand out. And not replicating people through CGI.

@Intruder

Steve Jobs has once said this as well:

"Good artist copy, GREAT artist steal."
~ Pablo Picasso

We are a product of our times.
Steal: to make your own.

"I steal from every single movie ever made. If people don't like that, then tough tills, don't go and see it, all right? I steal from everything. Great artists steal, they don't do homages."
~ Quentin Tarantino

Intruder - Alfred Hitchcock and Orson Welles used the long, continuous shot in their films decades before Scorsese did, and it's been used by many great filmmakers since Goodfellas (Robert Alterman, Paul T Anderson in the opening to Boogie Nights). Sorry, but it's not a shot that Scorsese invented or owns, it's a long-standing filmmaking technique that great filmmakers use if they are good enough to structure it and make it work.

You are right though - Nolan isn't Scorsese at his best, but Scorsese hasn't been at his best for a long long time.

Intruder: you're still a trolling, whining lil' bonehead. No movie, no story, no filming style can be completely original. Most filmmakers will always say what inspired them, why should Nolan be any different?

@Intruder you're absolutely right about him ripping people off.

I thought that all the movies that you've directed so far have been both groundbreaking and completely original. You totally know what you're talking about here.

Oh . . . wait . . .
