In these images you can see the face of the mysterious figure that is wearing the black cloak and standing behind Bane.

Some people were speculating that the figure behind Bane with the black hood on was Catwoman, but it's a guy instead. Who that guy is, I'm not sure. Maybe you guys can chime in on it?

Kinda upset that they are breaking batman movie tradition and not giving him a new suit in this movie. Especially cause I was never too crazy about the TDK suit to begin with.

@Supes yeah, but didn''t he say he had to wear some type of mic on the inside of the mask cause Bale couldn't understand him, or am I making this up?

So, today a patient that I operated on about three months back came into today looking better than I could have anticipated. I'm am unable to get into specifics about his injuries however, his prognosis was not good going forward. The first thing he said to me when I commented on his improving health was, "Do you really think I'm going to pass away before the Avengers, Spider Man and new Batman movie come out?" Made my day!

@ncreb

When Batman Begins came out we all thought Ra's Al Ghul as the villian would suck and that a batmobile tank would be lame. We were wrong there.

When The Dark Knight announced Health Ledger would be the Joker everyone said "Brokeback Joker."

Lets give the movie some time. Hell we don't even know the plot yet. It is all just speculation and fear cause we know how bad batman movies can get lol.

@Macman29 Not being a dick or nothin but, can you elaborate on the "batman movie tradition" of Batman having a new costume per movie.

I never really noticed it as a tradition. The Returns costume is a slightly tweaked version of the BATMAN suit but it's basically the same. It stays pretty much the same up until Batman and Robin where they made a few drastically colored suits to sell toys. But I guess a trend was broken when The Dark Knight finally broke away from the one-piece rubber suit look. But I didn't see anything indicating that the TDK suit would be changed again.

I've never been crazy about the busy pants design, but I never really noticed it until I saw promo pics and set footage. As of now, I think the suit looks it's best, primarily because Bale looks awesome in it. He looks bigger. I just don't like the way the rubber parts of the pants fold.

Never noticed how grey the suit is until seeing it in daylight. Looks closer to the original comic design.

@ NeoBaggins

The Returns suit has subtle differences I agree, but was also very different in ways such as color (being more of a lighter shade of black than pitch black.). Batman Forever had a new suit in the beginning and one with silver tones on it at the end after the riddler destroyed his normal suits. Batman and Robin had all sorts of trippy suits. Then the new one that Bale wore in begins. Then the new one he made in TDK.

elaborate enough for ya? lol

Ok, why the HELL is Batman out in the day?! That doesn't make much sense...isn't he restricted to nighttime? Or am I wrong?

@NeoBaggins.... its a definite yes on the whole new suit thing most of the time.. Nolan isn't an exception on this... the BB suit was almost ok.... nothing busy but a few lines and basic black... though the cowl more resembles a cat than a bat... the TDK suit is more streamlined (and with added lines that's more than necessary) ...the cowl still looked liked it needed work.... the whole thing looked as if Bale never even put on weight but in fact, LOST them.

...and now we have the "new" one here... yes new... for one... Bale had to beef up again... you can't expect to have him wear the same thing when his body tried to go back up to what he once had in Begins.... the new suit looks like a melding of the BB suit and the TDK one... they beefed (pardon the pun) up the chest area and the shoulders... some of the lines around the legs are unnecessary IMO but whatever, its the last Nolan Bat film so I guess they'll stick with what they got. The cowl almost looks ok but still a little off around the mouthpiece.

What some people here forget that in most cases, once a production run is over.. almost EVERYTHING used in the film gets destroyed.... costume molds included..... they don't call collectibles "rares" without good reason.

NeoBaggins - 11/5/2011, 11:40 PM
@Macman29/LOL I don't think they were adhering to a tradition when they made the crazy metallic nipple suits. I think they were trying to add variety to the action figure and vehicle toy line. And tweaking things slightly isn't much of a tradition if you consider the BATMAN and RETURNS suits. You could put the RETURNS suit on the cover of a BATMAN dvd and no one would care or notice. But maybe I missed the memo. I never saw any Tim Burton or Shoemucker behind the scenes stuff, so if they said there was a tradition, I missed it. I just don't see it.

The TDKR suit does have grey, but I'm wondering if anyone will drop their balls and give him the grey suit for a movie. Not even sure if it will translate and the only reference is those terrible fan films where the dude is basically wearing tights waiting to be stabbed or shot.

COME IN Priceless!!!
