RECAP: This past weekend Christopher Nolan filmed his third Batman film on Wall Street. First off he shot scenes involving two opposing mobs that charge into each other and showed off their shadow boxing skills. The interesting thing about the mobs was that Bane's mob was made up of Gotham citizens and his mercenaries. While Matthew Modine lead a mob of police officers, with Batman apparently lining up with the cops in this gigantic brawl.

Much of the weekend was just filming scene after scene of the melee, with different takes producing more gunfire and explosions upon the three tumblers that sat square in the middle of the two mobs. Late into the Saturday shoot we finally got a glimpse of Bane and Batman fighting, but filming was cut short based on people sneaking on the set and pretending to be extras screwed up the continuity.

Sunday brought us more of the same with the brawl between the two mobs taking up much of the day, but then we got a surprise as a scene involving a tumbler running over a supporting actor was captured. Then a quick shot of Catwoman racing through the battle scarred streets of Gotham were taken in the last moments of daylight, and the day was done.

The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters July 20th 2012 and stars Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Michael Caine as Alfred Pennyworth, Garly Oldman as Jim Gordon, Tom Hardy as Bane, Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as John Blake and Marion Cotillard as Miranda Tate.
