THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Miniatures of Bane, Catwoman, and Batman

At the New York Toy Fair Jakks Pacific showed off their new miniatures for Christopher Nolan's upcoming film The Dark Knight Rises. One of the most interesting things about the miniatures is that Catwoman's figure is holding a gun.

Buzz Focus has posted these new images of Jakks Pacific revealed new miniatures figures for The Dark Knight Rises, and a whole slew of other DC Comics superheroes. These are non-posable figures for Bane (Tom Hardy), Catwoman (Anne Hathaway) and Batman (Christian Bale). From everything that we've seen it looks like Catwoman isn't going to have her whip, but to be sporting a pistol is a bit of a surprise.

Catwoman is posed with a gun, instead of her trademark whip which has become a staple of TV and Film versions of Catwoman.

Batman is shown with his line launcher, one of the popular tools used in the Batman: Arkham City video game to solve Riddler puzzles.

Bane is posed with him arms up in the air as well as one of his legs. He looks like he is either doing a celebratory touchdown dance or as if he were about to step on someone.

The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters July 20th 2012 and stars Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Michael Caine as Alfred Pennyworth, Garly Oldman as Jim Gordon, Tom Hardy as Bane, Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as John Blake and Marion Cotillard as Miranda Tate.

I actually love the Catwoman costume. Yes, I would have LOVED a cowl, but hey, Nolan knows what he's doing.

Banes legs and head are actually in Bat breaking mode while his arms seem to be popping and locking. I think someone told them halfway through that broken backs and child friendly

Wow, I'm a big fan of BB and TDK but the more I see coming out from TDKR, the less hope I have. It's feeling more and more like it's going to be one of those films that takes the concept and throws out everything that makes the property what it was in the first place ("Arrow", anyone?). Hopefully I'll be proved wrong but we'll see...
