After years of languishing in film development, Y: The Last Man is being developed as a TV series from FX.  This news comes the very next day after it was revealed that The Boys, another, long-languishing comic-to-film adaptation was also headed to TV.  Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson are developing as producers.  Vaughn will also be involved with the show as a producer and writer.

Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen, who are developing Preacher for AMC and shopping The Boys around to other cable networks, previously stated that if Preacher didn't work out at AMC they were going after Y: The Last Man next.

I really wish this was coming to HBO instead, but FX has brought out some great shows. The Strain and Bastard Executioner have been good.

This was one of my favorite series. So many twists, turns, an awesome story, with realistic yet exaggerated view points, and a lot of progression of characters. So happy this is finally coming to be series

Y: The Last Man has more of a possibility of making it to reality without being completely neutered. I just honestly don't see The Boys ever getting made. Way too graphic and dark.

@Nomis and BlackIceJoe

I agree. I always wanted HBO to get the rights for 'Y', but FX is also a great choice. Don't forget they also did The Shield, Sons Of Anarchy, Nip/Tuck, Damages, and American Horror Story. So I have faith in FX adapting the graphic novel right.
