i love the Joe Quesada Azrael design, I think he co-created the character with Denny O'Neil.

yeah, his costume design reminds me of the crusades, Joe Quesada's original Azrael design is more appealing with it's red and gold combination and huge gauntlets that spits blade and fire.

So the big "OMG" of this preview is that Batman's no longer welcome in Gotham? Wow, that might have had some impact BEFORE THE DARK KNIGHT DID THE EXACT SAME THING BACK IN 2008.

I cannot WAIT for this book to end. I just want it to be over...

Also, Jean-Paul Valley's Azrael had the cooler costume. The Quesada version, natch. I don't know much about this NEW Azrael, but he doesn't seem to be as interesting as Valley was (as a character).

I hate Joe Quesada's Azrael desing. He's really bad at designing characters, honestly people, he just put so many elements from the waist up and nothing from the waist down, its an uneven design.

@MrAgamotto... at least Joe Quesada's design is much cooler than the crusades-like design of the present Azrael. Jean-Paul Valley IS Azrael and not that Django Unchained-like character with his slave wounds, I'm not a racist here mind you.

Ya know, seeing as Damien was Bruces son, by default, his death should have a big impact on the bat books, but all this 'Requiem' and grieving shite is getting old. Its been going on for, what, how many issues now? DC didn't do this sort of stuff when Batman or even Superman died, but some piece of crap character that was equally hated, if not more, than loved and we have to see a Requiem with a big Robin in each issue just seems like too much. Especially considering the character will be back in less than a year or, groan, they will just take in his clone.

God Morrison sucks.

the run's over in a few issues. but it's very much worth picking up. people just don't like that it's not scott snyder's batman.

@Shadowelfz I want to just assume you're trolling. Superman's death was the biggest circus I've ever seen in comics, and Batman never died. I know it's tough to actually READ comics and follow and pay attention, but it seems those who hate on Morrison have that problem. For instance I wonder how many know/care that this Azrael (Michael Lane) was the third "Ghost of Batman" from the first arcs of Morrison's run, so we're seeing things come full circle. Pretty sure Dr. Hurt is gonna be back soon as well.
