Marvel vs DC vs Other

Marvel vs DC vs Other

I really enjoyed this post the first time around. However, there was no comprehensive list of all comic book movies. Marvel won by a margin that was more questionable to me than the Bush 2004 election. I’ve put together as complete a list as I possibly can, including the Independents, so everyone can make a well informed decision.

Some of these films are based on comics published under labels that are owned by either Marvel or DC. For example, “A History of Violence”, originally published in 1997 by Paradox Press and later by Vertigo, both are imprints of DC Comics. “Men in Black” was originally published by Aircel Comics. Aircel would later be bought out by Malibu Comics, which itself was bought out by Marvel Comics, who developed the property into a franchise.

If a movie isn’t in some way linked to either Marvel or DC comics, it goes into the “other” category. I’m going to start with the first movie I think relevant in each category because no one has seen “Superman and the Mole Men” or “3 Dev Adam”, whatever that is. I find this more of a challenge if I make my choices based on the ones I basically enjoyed instead of the films I absolutely loved. If I chose only the films I absolutely loved I'd have a list of about five films.

If anyone can inform me as to how I get a link to the poll in here please let me know. If you click on polls at the top, I believe it's the only one up at this time.
