The Good

dmb1511: I thought the movie was flawless. It was one of the greatest I had ever seen. From the specialized effects to the cast the movie was great. My rating would be a 9.9 simply because I didn’t think of it first. I’m sorry that was mean but it really is not getting the credit it truly deserves. I enjoyed the movie until the very last reel stopped moving.
From DMB to everyone.
Go see this film

bigshow2312: The scenery of the film really makes the audience feel as if they are watching actual footage from WWII. Unlike Captain American: First Avenger, the set designs and physics were executed out well- simply amazing. Which is no surprise considering that Lucasfilms have the BEST special effects designers. Not to mention one of the best Black cast of movie history. Actors/Musicians like Elijah Kelly, Ne-Yo & Method Man blew me away with their performances which I at first misjudged their talents. Furthermore, Cuba Gooding Jr. & Terrence Howard did well considering their parts in the film: cerebral Black men risking their jobs to make history. There were moments in the film where I almost cried but I do remember smiling a lot. If you’re not crying or awe-stricken, you are definitely laughing out loud to these wonderful characters. To all you Breaking Bad fans, Bryan Cranston had a few scenes in this film to which he made a convincing bigot.

The Bad

dmb1511: I couldn’t find anything seriously wrong with it. When I was preparing to go to the theaters, bigshow told me the reviews were terrible. I had to tell him an all black cast throws people off. The proof is in the pudding. If you are skeptical at seeing this film you really shouldn’t be. There is actually a scene that would take everything a grown man had in him to prevent him from crying.

bigshow2312: (Being picky) there wasn’t enough blood and gore like Inglorious Bastards, but you have to understand that this film is inspired by true events. The Tuskegee Airmen didn’t get all glorious jobs (like Captain America) but venial situations to which they took pride in. In addition, the script at times can get choppy, what have you, but it’s not a big deal.

The Ugly

dmb1511: Maybe that Italian woman they were courting…Just kidding.

bigshow2312: The cast members work so well together, the audience just wants more and more. But unfortunately this movie won’t have any sequels.

Grade: A
