Not for nothing, but the freaking advertisement was as long as the clip. That's just rude. I realize that isn't CBM's fault, though.

They should have got Ironside like from the "Legends of the Dark Knight" episode.

Don't like Peter Wellers voice for this role. I'm also not a fan of Peter Weller period. When Dexter finally killed that fvck i was very....satisfied

Michael Ironside was great at the time because it was completely "fictionalized" (told from a would-be Carrie's point of view), but the difference between the two is that Peter Weller sounds like, at one point in his life, he had a happy day.

Batman is meant to have been brought DOWN to this craziness after Jason's death, he is the old, antiquated, aging version of a silver-age hero.

Michael Ironside is simply Darkseid, and I love him as Darkseid.

Not particularly happy with the atmosphere, or lack thereof in this clip - Batman is supposed to be hard-pressed to stop Dent, and while he's slow, it's because he's out of shape - he should be frantic to keep up with the gunmen.

@Pux; It's a modified rifle used for shooting his zip line across long distances, it doesn't shoot bullets. The Dark Knight Returns was written before the grapple gun became a part of Batman's standard arsenal.

I'm sure it's gonna be good. BUT I'm not feelin' P.Weller's vocals at all. Miscast in my opinion.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks Weller was miscast. And I LOVE Weller.

Should have been Keaton. That would have been so fun.

Just got done watching this. Holy crap, this movie is awesome. Hands down my favorite DC animated flick. One thing I loved about it so much was how faithful it was to the comic, right down to shots in the movie matching the panels exactly.

I will agree that Weller is spotty in places, but he does a great job overall. I actually got chills in a few parts of this. TDKR is one of my favorite comics ever, and seeing such an accurate recreation of it was just thrilling. Part 2 cant come soon enough.

The whole gum instead of cigars thing bugged me a bit though. I just hate overly PC garbage, but no big deal.

Oh, and awesome score. Somebody has to do this story live action. It is SOOOO good.

Weller was chosen to voice Batman because THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS, along with Judge Dredd highly influenced ROBOCOP. So much so that Frank Miller was hired to write the sequels, and now Michael Keaton and Gary Oldman are in the remake.
